Banjul International Airport – BJL Banjul
Otherwise known as Yundum International, Banjul International Airport is situated in Banjul, Gambia. Built during World War II, Banjul airport served as a port of call for Allied naval convoys and air stopover for the US Air Force. Considered as among the top 10 most beautiful airports in the world, the terminal was built by the architect Pierre Goudiaby Atepa. The airport used to be the main hub for Gambia Airlines. Today, the airport is used mostly for international flights with seasonal charters.
