Bram Fischer International Airport is the main airport situated in Bloemfontein, South Africa that provides domestic and international flights. It connects Bloemfontein to the industrial area of Botshabelo and Maseru in Lesotho. The airport was opened in 1961 by the late President CR Swart and was known back then as the Bloemfontein Airport. President Jacob Zuma then renamed it in 2012. The airport’s runways are shared with the AFB Bloemspruit, the airbase of the South African Air Force.
