Cons: The woman who checked us in was so rude that I wished we could have left. We would have if we wouldn't have been charged. We were greeted in the porch with questions about why we were parking in the lot. When I replied because we were checking in, we were then ignored. When we checked in the night before Thanksgiving, the woman at the desk demanded we pay in full. We explained we had already paid through booking.com in full. We showed our receipts and confirmation emails and even banking info. She ignored us and handed back our card, saying we had to still pay in full, and she already charged us. Then we had to argue back and forth about how she overcharged us $1100. She was unwilling to budge and kept saying to call booking.com to sort it out. After several uncomfortable minutes, she said she'd call her manager. The manager confirmed what we had said and she needed to give us a refund. She got off the phone and said nothing and got up and walked away. No apology for overcharging us $1100 or offering a solution. Just flat out walked away. Our keys were on the counter, so we let ourselves into our room. We were not checked in, not told about breakfast, not told about happy hour in the lobby, or anything else about our stay. We spent the next 4 days missing out on the amenities and trying to piece together what was offered at the hotel. The next morning, I saw the woman again and said, "Happy Thanksgiving." She ignored us and walked away. That same morning, we asked the woman serving breakfast if we could purchase mimosas. She said, "No, we don't do that. " This was a little confusing because the lobby has a case of wine and champagne for sale, and it's also mentioned you can buy mimosas with breakfast on the website. The hotel was gorgeous, and we were so excited to stay here before our arrival. This check in experience completely overshadowed anything good about the place.

Pros: Very charming hotel in Santa Cruz with a beach view. It is an old building, but very nicely decorated. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, they do provide a very good breakfast. Main pier, beach is basically 4-5 minutes walking distance.

Pros: We asked for an early check in and they were very pleasant about accommodating us and they texted when our room was ready.. two hours early..We had a special request as my wife's brother is in assisted living nearby and we wanted to be able to go back and forth

Idyllic super friendly beautiful hotel.

Pros: The whole building was beautiful and impeccably decorated. It was also incredibly easy to follow the instructions in as we checked in while the manager was on her mandated break, when she returned she checked us in fully and could not have been more lovely, it was honestly the highlight of our honeymoon being here, if only for one night.

Pros: The inn is located in an old Victorian house - and it was beautiful renovated and furnished. The renovation was done carefully so that spirit of the Victorian style didn’t get lost while habe modern and comfortable features.

Cons: It’s a pity that the Inn gets a concrete block in front of the sea - but the view to Cornell beach is still amazing

Pros: Absolutely amazing Inn, staff very friendly and helpful. Breathtaking views, fireplace in the room, wow factor bathroom with jacuzzi tub for two as well oversized shower. Love the outdoor porch.

Cons: Very minor fix, most of the very large bedroom windows don’t stay open, perhaps provide a wood block to keep these magnificent windows open and or add a ceiling fan.

Pros: This place is gorgeous. Great location, comfortable room. Wine and cheese in the evening is served, which we appreciated after all day of sightseeing. This place is quiet at night, and everyone seemed to get up around 9am. It's a dreaming place to be.

Cons: The jacuzzi tub didn't work. Well, only one of the four jets worked. Our balcony door would not open to the balcony, which we were informed was due to a recent rain the door swelled which would not allow it to open. No one there seemed to be too concerned that the amenities we paid for were not available to use. The pilot light on the fireplace was not lit, again another amenity we paid for that we could not use. This was not only a planned vacation but was our anniversary getaway.. Just a little disappointed about the amenities.
