Pros: It was located near the lake, but no rooms had a lake view.

Cons: Where do I begin. We checked in at around 5:30pm, and were given a room closest to the lake, but there were no lake-facing windows. We soon left the hotel again as we had plans for the evening. We returned to the hotel at 10pm and as we were about to go to bed, my husband pulled the cover back to see dried blood stains on the sheet. We contacted the out of hours hotel number and a man came to assess the situation. He found us another room which only had single beds, but it was getting so late at that point we just wanted to go to sleep, so we took the room. If it had been earlier in the day wed have gone to a different hotel as we had already noticed the standards of the original room were not up to our expectations. In the second room however, we then encountered the following issues: * Rusting shower heads and bathroom fittings * Yellowed toilet seat * Dirty and stained teaspoons * Excessive dust on the bathroom extractor fan * Peeling and browned sealant on bathroom surface We are very disappointed and feel like the property is misleading guests by advertising themselves as a Luxury 4.5* Hotel. There are also lots of trout flies in the rooms which isnt a very nice experience. When we checked out we expected compensation for the awful conditions and for the inconvenience of moving rooms so late at night. The ladies behind reception giggled and whispered to each other as we discussed the matter with the manager. He thought moving us to another room was enough to compensate us and after some debate, they offered us a small discount off the room. They didnt seem to care how disappointed we were, it wasnt good customer service at all.

Pros: My partner and I really enjoyed the Spa! Having a cold pool right next to the spa was a bonus! We could cool down then warm ourselves up again right away! Staff were AMAZING!!! Honestly the most friendly & helpful people! Also the lake view was STUNNING!

Cons: There's literally nothing I can fault!! Thank you to the lovely staff! We had a beautiful anniversary & will be back!
