Pros: the spar was good unfortunately the reception staff where not accommodating until I said I was not happy with the small room , I had a business meeting on the tuesday did not have anywhere to hang my suite until I got upgraded to a bigger room.

Disappointing and wouldn’t return

Cons: Unfortunately this hotel did not live upto the website description, which was a huge shame as other Harbour hotels that we’ve stayed at have been fantastic. The room was extremely small, so it did make it difficult for 2 people to move around. A half eaten bag of crisps on our refreshment trolley was unexpected, so I took those down to reception. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and clearly had a dip in the middle of the mattress. The aircon unit made a rattling noise and the room was extremely warm (mainly due to the heat generated from the mini fridge that was essentially next to the bed!), so we opened a window. Whilst we did not have, nor did we request a sea view, we were unimpressed with the copious amount of rubbish that we did have as our view!! As another reviewer stated, the little things you would expect at a “luxury” hotel were missing. Unfortunately the staff explaining how the spa worked became more and more confusing; £10 per person from check in as we booked through an agent (that’s fine), however we called up the day before to ask if we could use the spa BEFORE check in and were advised we could. Then on the day, reception said we need to go downstairs and ask the spa if we can due to availability, which we did only now we were advised it’s £20 per person, as we want to use it before check-in. We come back upstairs to the reception and now we’re told it’s £10 PLUS the £20 per person if we want to use the spa before check in…. So we’re now looking at £30 per person?! The morning of out check out, we go for breakfast and it was quiet, 2 other diners in the whole restaurant. We wanted a table for the two of us by the window overlooking the sea as there’s such beautiful views from this venue.

Perfect choice for a stay...

Pros: Staff were friendly, rooms were great - comfortable beds, great selection in mini bar, robes & slippers & the complimentary gin in the room was a great touch! Spa was fantastic. Bar area was lovely.

Cons: Whilst the location is wonderful being on the sea front & central and the views are great, it is also the only negative in that it is also extremely noisy late at night with party goers. The triple glazed windows do a good job to quiet it down.

Excellent but noisy

Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and professionally. Spa was incredible and the facilities, room exceed our expectations.

Cons: We had a terrible sleep, hotel is an old building with very thin walls, so we heard people going into there rooms at 1am, heard people getting up and going to the toliet, heard people outside the hotel. We also didn't find the bed comfortable, mattress was lovely and super big, but pillows and duvets were duck feather, which isn't to our personal taste, as they made us very hot and very uncomfortable. Did not have restful sleep.

Pros: I loved the decor of the bed, modern bathroom and the tv at the end of the bed :)

Cons: Did not like the very loud ‘boiler noise’ that was going on for over an hour gave me a migraine. My partner went downstairs to report and numerous other guests had reported the same thing… noise eventually stopped. Sea view room but could not see the sea at all as windows were broken, sealed shut and dirty that you couldn’t see through them.
