Exe Hotels was founded in January 2005. That time was a good time for hotels. It was when various factors of the hospitality and tourism business were getting on the surface - interior and exterior design, service standards, changes in trends, upcoming technological integrations, etc. However, the actual history of the brand is traced in 1993 when an established hotel company, Grupo Hotusa, was already making a name in the industry. The group was invested in managing traditional hotels in Spain. At that time, it was also a pioneer in a certain hotel management strategy. It was in their portfolio expansion that other European countries were also covered by their developments. That was the point for the launch of the Exe Hotels chain. 

Every year since the founding of the hotel brand, the group ventured into bigger and more extensions of operations across the international market. It only took five years for the group to make noise in the international market. These days, it has gained absolute fame in its continent of origin as well as in the United States, Mexico, and Argentina. The choice of locations was a nod to the beginnings of the Grupo Hotusa in releasing the brand - to devise unique and proper strategies that may not match the norm but surely generates good revenue.
