Awful would never stay there again

Pros: when we first arrived there was no lift, staff appeared very unprofessional, apathetic and disinterested there was no dress code looked rather untidy. The interior was shabby, the whole place needs a total make over as wall paper was falling off, dents in walls and everything furniture wise was stained. When we got to our room all the furniture was stained and under the cushions there was food and debris disgusting. There was also a tub of sugar with bits in it so i went down to change it, the staff member gave me a new supply of coffee etc and in the bowl was also a unused plastic covered tampon (can you imagine). Later we wanted a bath only to find the water was only trickling out no hot water. we complained and was told its an old building and we would have to wait for it to go through the pipes. We waited so long we gave up on having a bath or a shower, good job we were only staying one night. There was also a cob web in the bathroom and the towels were stained. The shower gels had also not been renewed as they had been previously used. The other hotel guests also looked unkempt and we were informed by a taxi driver that homeless etc people were using this hotel and that some taxi firms would not even pick up there because of the cliental there. There for we would like a total refund of monies paid

Cons: See above everything was awful. This hotel needs a total refurbishment no hot water staff were unprofessional . The hotel needs someone to go in and reassess the accommodation. We would like a refund

Pros: The room was small but comfortable. The facilities were clean. The shower was easy to operate. The staff we saw were friendly.

Cons: The floor in the bathroom was slippery and there was no mat to put down.

Cons: Slightly too much furniture in room. No food service in hotel not an issue for me as I was already planning breakfast in the fabulous Langan's Tea Rooms.

Pros: We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size (much larger than the usual size at national hotel chains). We had a very friendly welcome from the reception staff who we thought were very helpful. Great location in the middle of town.
