Pros: View from our room and the pool were fantastic, staff all round were professional apart from 1 waiter requiring food handling hygiene training.

Cons: Staff and servers was professional for 99%. Which was one of our highlights of our stay, the views looking out to the ocean were superb! It will be interesting to see the resort at a fuller capacity with only one pool available. For its age the resort should be rated at 3 Stars. Our smoke detectors in our room didnt seem to be working. No carbon monoxide detectors in rooms. No wheel chair access. Stairs are an issue getting to the restaurant with my bad hip. Floors and bath tubs could use a good polish to remove stains. No bed side tables. Power points well worn chargers wouldnt stay plugged in. No USB charging ports. Television reception is terrible no Netflix or internet connection. Wi-Fi has no password, Im sure internet hackers would have a ball downloading all of your personal information. The bottles of water supplied must be the smallest you can buy. I experienced a waiter coughing over the breakfast buffet which totally turned us off our breakfast. The resort is only 10 years old built in 2014, its lacking some major maintenance. Im assuming it was left to run down dilapidated over Covid and probably will never recover. Compared to old photos half the beach is filled in with rocks now with a collapsed retaining wall. Beach seems to have a lot of pollution floating around. Food and drinks prices are extremely over priced. To Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Tran Minh Chi of Tran Thai Group, I would highly recommend sending senior management staff out to The Shells Resort & Spa urgently to see first hand what maintenance is required.

Cons: The cleaning staff weren't totally consistent when replacing towels and would sometimes forget; we couldn't get any extra water, and you only got two small bottles once a day. The gym is not well equipped, and some machinery is broken.

Pros: It locates nearby the beach and it took 5 minutes to the city by motorbike. My trip was adorable and I would love to say thanks to the staff here who helped me to arrange the tour as well. They picked up and dropped off free from the airport to resort. I highly recommended you this place.

Lovely resort

Pros: The pool was lovely, nice and big. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Unfortunately the beach water wasnt clear, looked polluted. So couldnt go swimming at the beach.

Cons: When we arrived we notice that the room was not clean,the garbage bin was full from the other quest that stayed before us also the used soap and everything was not cleaned exept our bed . The receptionist s was verry unprofessional , she almost put us to pay one glass because she didnt check the room correctly also didnt check our details from the cisa card and the driver stopped us in front of the airport to give him pictures with the back of pur credit card . We needed to call late in the night to ask for towels , soap we put aside the fact that our room was not clean because we where so tired.

Pros: We booked this hotel with the intention of simply relaxing at the beach and resting for two days. It served its purpose, but we had hoped for a bit more. The premises have significant potential, and I can imagine that it might have been a perfect place a few years ago, but nowadays, it could benefit from a bit more care and renovation. On the contrary, the beach and swimming pool were enjoyable. We appreciated the privacy of the villa and the airport shuttle bus. To travel to the city, it is necessary to either use Grab or rent a motorbike. We ordered a half board and were surprised to find that there wasn't a buffet for dinner, but instead, meals were served. While it's evident that the chef is putting in effort, and some dishes were great, a buffet option might be more preferred. We had the possibility to dine outside near the swimming pool and the atmosphere was romantic.

Cons: One swimming pool was out of service, probably for an extended period. We would appreciate different opening hours for the gym; 11 am is a bit late for morning exercise, and the equipment was rather limited. There wasn't enough employees at breakfast, so when we got there at 9, essentials like yogurt and fruit were missing, requiring us to request a refill. In a 5-star hotel, I would expect such matters to be handled automatically. Overall, I wouldn't classify this hotel as five-star; it would likely meet expectations for a 3+ or 4-star rating.

Cons: Our shower had very low water pressure, the toilet was running (noisy) and the TV did not work. The hotel did not provide enough drinking water.

Tired resort, in need of a severe makeover

Pros: Great view from the balcony overlooking the ocean and pool, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good complimentary breakfast buffet, quiet resort, 15-20 minute drive to street market, restaurants and shops

Cons: Where do I begin....? Maybe 10 or 15 years ago, this resort might have been five stars, but today, it's only 2 - 3 stars at best. The facilities are completely worn down, rust on all exposed steel surfaces outside, cracks on the walls and floors inside the room and outside, trash on the beach and in the water.... We arrived on a Friday and were there through Tuesday. Management decided the whole weekend was the perfect time to do pool maintenance at the main pool. Why not perform the maintenance on a weekday, when it's not so busy? Refrigerator in the room didn't work, they replaced with another one that didn't work. The resort is definitely not worth their price of admission.... Note to management: Unless you're offering a partial refund, don't bother responding to my review with your typical canned response saying you're sorry, we'll look into these matters....

Pros: The view from the room was beautiful, but everything else was a big let down.

Cons: It doesnt look anything like the photos advertised on booking.com and other places online. Its completly rundown and unclean, all surfaces are cracked and dirty. The bathroom is mouldy and you can see scum all around the walls. The bath tub is mouldy and rusted. Underneath the mattress was filthy. Everything is stained. The restaurant is run down and dirty, the pool bar is rundown. The resort needs a lot of attention. The staff try their best and are very lovely, we didnt want to complain to them during our stay as the lack of maintenance isnt their fault. Everything is a mess at this resort and it affected our stay. This cannot be advertised as 5 star, its far from it. During our stay we contacted booking.com to notify them about the above and they advised that they contacted the accomodation and that someone would talk to us - no one spoke to us about anything. We checked out and our issues are still unresolved and no one from the resort has responded to the query.
