It was great but it...

Pros: The location is fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also top notch.

Cons: The property is getting a little run down and in need of some maintenance. Examples are stained carpets, toilet would not flush properly and the ceiling fan would not work.

Cons: Large group who partied all night into the morning. At least 30 to 40 of them outside, just across from us. They had a portable generator running all night for there lights and music. Not cool! A lot of nice things about this place but no control of their own rules. It's not all The Pines fault, these people just flat out did not care about anyone else.

Family-friendly resort

Pros: The chalet was nice and clean, my kids especially loved the loft. I liked the kitchen and living room- it was a full apartment. They had mini splits both upstairs & and down, which made the rooms comfortable. A playground and glide rink were close by, which are great for families. The restuarant Ducey's was good, the bar & grill was a good choice for me with kids. The deck looked inviting during warmer weather.

Cons: The grounds around the resort were run down. And the lake was very low when we were there so not very pretty. Maybe better in other seasons. The coffee shop shown on the map was not open.
