    Visiting Chester and the local area and a great base to stay.

    Pros: Good location for country walks and handy for Chester or Nantwich. Food excellent as was staff service. Nice and cozy atmosphere in the pub.
    Cons: Our room was little on the small side especially the bathroom but clean and comfortable.

    Heaven on earth!

    Pros: The location of this hotel is perfect with beautiful views across Cheshire and North Wales and several great walks straight out of the property. The room was so comfortable and all the little extras provided made it feel extra special. An exceptionally dog friendly hotel with special treats, a bed, places to wash their muddy paws, open fires for them lay down after a long day roving the countryside. The food was probably one of the best meals Ive ever had and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, this is an incredibly special place and we will definitely be coming back!
    Cons: Theres not much to not like about this place. They could potentially look at upgrading their glassware as it doesnt match the level of service and quality of food and drink served at the property. Other than that, the room, whilst incredible had a few cobwebs and such. But its an old building and to be expected and not really an issue

    A pleasant and comfortable place to stay after a days walking. It would be ideal for a holiday break

    Pros: We stayed in Pennsylvania cottage. It had excellent facilities and comfortable beds. It was a great place to rest and relax after a days walking on the Sandstone Trail. We had an excellent meal in the pub in the evening. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast in the morning to set us up for another days walking.

    Disappointing

    Pros: No record of the booking I submitted a complaint to booking. Com still waiting to hear back, didn't get to stay in the room we booked and there was noise All night from staff down below, reported this on check out wss told manager would call. Also emailed to ask manger to call me till waiting
    Cons: Carpets smelly in rooms
