A happy stay at this hotel. easy to reach St.Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife.

Pros: Lovely roomy bedroom and very clean. Breakfast - excellent choice, but portion size only suitable for young athletic types. I would suggest that guests speak to the waiting staff and order appropriately. Our room didn't have a view as such, but the view from the dining room is spectacular.

Cons: For some reason the tables in the dining room felt sticky, but were clean. Napiery or even a paper tablecloth would have been a good idea.

We honeymooned there 37 years ago and were keen to return. Sadly wont be returning again.

Pros: Easy walk to beach and surrounding area. Beautiful view from our balcony

Cons: Not a very warm welcome on arrival. Lounge area not that clean and a definite lack of staff for dinner service. The bar ended up littered with dirty glasses being stacked up and the conservatory was a bit cold.

A welcoming, friendly 4 star hotel in a good location

Pros: The staff were really excellent, particularly Sarah and her lovely reception colleague who went above and beyond to help me with a problem I had. Great location with lovely views and the room had a small terrace for sitting out. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was warm. Food was hearty and the portions large Easy parking. Short walk to the lovely sandy beach

Pros: Plenty of choice and good variety for breakfast pleasantly served by young staff. Evening menu --same every night --was quite ordinary but portions were plentiful, nicely cooked and presented. Sometimes a small portion was sufficient. Nightly Specials gave some variety to the set menu Staff were pleasant and helpful. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable , with a balcony. There was a bar/lounge for relaxing after comfortable

Good room, good location, and good food but some staff training needed in the restaurant.

Pros: The room was comfortable with a good size TV. The bathroom was reasonable size and had a good shower. The view from our balcony was very good. The restaurant menu in the hotel was very good and the food was tasty.

Cons: There was an issue with the varnish on all of the restaurant tables making the surface tacky. I was unaware of the issue on Saturday night as table cloths were used but only place mats were used Sunday and Monday. The young staff at breakfast seemed to return to the kitchen empty handed every trip, leaving used dishes lying on multiple tables after guests had left.
