Pros: The room was comfortable and was to my expectations.

Pros: Super location and price.

Cons: I could feel the metal springs in the mattress. Ongoing renovations have resulted in poor facilities for guests. This property has shared bathrooms, and 2 out of the three on our floor were closed. Amenities that the hotel previously provided like drinking water and slippers were not available.

Pros: The location is great and the price is good for the location.

Cons: The hotel is passed its best days and currently under renovation. Given the current construction it is very expensive. Also the bathrooms are not very clean.

Pros: I only liked the location.

Cons: I was in room 350. Next door there was a man who vomited every morning. After opening and closing his door many times, he made a lot of noise and prevented me from sleeping. I informed the receptionists and they told me that he was a permanent tenant. The entire building was under construction, plastic all over the hotel, the elevator didn't work for 3 days, and the people in it didn't inspire confidence in me. I would not go back.

Pros: I booked a cabin type room... the built-in furniture is perfect; it has plenty of space to store lots of luggage. Beautiful brass hooks to hang clothes as well as a quality mirror, spanning the length of the room. The bed is very comfortable; I've stayed at many other hotels at that price range, and the sleep quality doesn't compare. It had an air conditioning unit and a fan, with a well organized set of switches with their own light for finding them at night. Bathrobe and towels were clean and stain free. The shared bathroom on the third floor is elegant with plenty of hot water.

Cons: A big part of it is under construction. Some walls are covered in plastic, and I can see why. The whole place is dusty. The air conditioning unit's filter light was on, and filthy, which is unacceptable.

Pros: The location of the hotel was great, it was easy to get to and from the subway and was a perfect hub to explore the Chelsea, Greenwich Village and Soho areas. Staff were friendly. The cabin room had character, was clean and had everything that we needed however, it was very small. This was bearable for us as we were out all day so only really needed the room to sleep.

Cons: There was a significant amount of construction going on, in the whole building as well as on the floor that we were staying on (we were not aware, nor informed of the extent of, when booking). The corridors were dusty and smelt of smoke. In the weekdays, the construction started early at around 7. Early one morning the fire alarm went off, we evacuated and waited for further instruction. We did not receive any update from staff so we re-entered the building and found out it was a false alarm and that evacuation was not necessary. It would have been nice to be kept informed. Construction workers used the the same lifts (despite signs saying that they were only for hotel staff and guests) which meant that there could be a long wait for the lift and that the lift was very dusty and dirty. There is one shared bathroom per floor and 2 toilet cubicles per bathroom. Some of the construction workers used the toilets which meant they were not always available when needed. The bathroom was kept relatively clean however, products were not routinely topped up and there was only 1 soap dispenser that had soap in it during our whole stay. We understand that the construction work is needed however, we would have preferred to have been told about it prior to booking.
