    Convenient to town, Accomodations disappointing

    Pros: The location was great. It was easy to walk around town and return safely.
    Cons: The desk clerk was not very friendly. When I asked questions he was abrupt in answers. The room was not as pictured. The temperature of the room was either too hot or too cold and did not adjust as desired.

    Pros: The place has just enough parking, and the interior of the room is cute and beautiful. Charming place located right along the main shopping stretch.
    Cons: We lost a jacket there that wasn't found. It was cold and it wasn't obvious if you're supposed to light the fireplace (no lighter or matches provided) or if there was another method.

    Lovely location, needs updating

    Pros: Location and parking are perfect. The hotel is old fashioned but lovely, the rooms are a good size and some of them have little outside areas to sit. There is a lovely communal room to sit in as well.
    Cons: The rooms need updating especially the bathrooms. We had an over bath shower (that you had to crouch under) with a plastic shower curtain. The website promised tea and coffee available all day but there was a coffee machine and no kettle in the room. When I asked at reception about tea, I was told to run the water through the coffee machine which doesnt taste right and isnt hot enough. We have stayed in the past when there was a lovely breakfast included, but we understand that since Covid this has been stopped. It would be good to at least bring back a basic breakfast in the lovely communal room as that was such an enjoyable part of the stay before. The staff werent overly friendly especially the man who was there on our first day and night. We were next to the cleaning cupboard and woken up each day by the cleaners chatting and on their phones, there isnt much soundproofing as its an old building.
