Pros: The view and the somewhat extensive grounds are outstanding. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and more than adequate.

Cons: The deluxe king room had a nice view but was not otherwise special in any way so not worth (in my mind) the high US$500 daily rate. It felt that the (basically young) staff was overly reliant on banal pleasantries in their interactions and did not come across to me as experienced (ie professionally trained) enough for an establishment of this caliber. There was no parking provided anywhere near the room (valet parking instead) and it took an average of 15-20 minutes every time to have the car driven from wherever the parking lot was to near the roomthus the car could not easily be accessed. The choice of restaurants was limited. The pool was outdoors so not always inviting in October and, besides, no robes were provided in the room. An outdoor audio/video event was held on the lawn close to the room on the Friday and Saturday evenings so there was unwelcome and intrusive noise until around 10 pm.

Beat Hotel in Jasper!

Pros: This Hotel is so large. But it could be hard to tell the way to the front desk If you arrive at late night. King stuff in the front desk, and the valet Parking Service is awesome. The Parking lot actually is far away from the place we stay. Service Guy at phone call 55 park for us after unloding. One suggestion for the new guys, leave the parking lit things behind before check-in. The front desk will provide you the parking Service and you can be driven to your place nice and quick.

Cons: Over priced No cleaning in the room had to ring and request it No room for us as guests in the hotel for breakfast we had to drive to jasper for breakfast and we had 2 young children Staff were rude and unhelpful

Cons: The elk and geese were a nuisance, and no a/c. Neighbor smoked on the patio and it would waft into our room.

Pros: The view is epic- stayed for 2 nights and have seen its beauty during morning, evening and midday. Really spectacular. Theres a boathouse to rent boat across the lake. So tranquil. Hotel staff very friendly and helped us with luggage delivery.

Cons: Although the bath has just been renovated - utility in the room is still limited. Food is so-so only- traditional breakfast is somewhat similar to buffet style. The burger at main hall is too hard not chewy. But then again, what to blame for good view

Pros: The lodge and grounds are amazing, beautiful lake, beautifully kept grounds. Pleasure to walk around, good food in main hall, grab and go options also.

Cons: The rooms are too basic and need alot of TLC for the money per night paid. Simple things could make big difference to the overall tired appearance. Hot inside room even though September, had two fans both of which were very dusty. Bathroom was nice and modern. 3rd day no house keeping, was out all day and came back at 8pm no new towels, or rubbish removed etc. Called and they said short staffed so we asked for towels which we received, but no offer to at least have taken the accumulated rubbish etc. Details like this you don't expect paying such a high per night rate, you want to come back to clean tidy room after full day out hiking. They did apply 50 CAD refund at check out due to this but really you expect it done.

Peaceful lakeside base to explore Jasper

Pros: Lovely setting. Comfortable room. Great food. We did the really beautiful 45min walk around the Lake. Great lake and mountain views.
