Yosemite was beautiful but…

Pros: The location, pizzeria.

Cons: Upon checking in the blond hair woman was extremely unpleasant. When my teenage son looked at me in surprise of the way she was talking to me she snapped, “did you have something to say?” Floored. The “cabins” are mere trailers relegated to the outskirts of the property. Very surprised we paid a premium to be driving distance to all the resort amenities.

My family would stay at...

Pros: The Tenaya is great for families. They offer several activities on site. My kids enjoyed the ice skating, nightly smores, popcorn and movies at the indoor pool.

Cons: It was our first visit to Yosemite so we were not aware how far of a drive the resort was from the valley. It’s still an hour drive from the heart of the park. We made the drive twice during our visit. The other days we explored areas of the park closer to the south entrance and closer to the resort. They were doing renovations/construction on the floor above ours and would start at 8am sharp every day which was not ideal for sleeping in after a long day of hiking the day before. The walls are thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to and above you.

Cons: The maintenance of the facility could've been kept up a little better. The indoor pool and spa were disgusting, they could've been scrubbed and cleaned better. The game room smelled horrible and was not in good condition.
