Cons: We booked a twin bed room but the room we were given was facing a building in construction with a lot of noises. This was not stated in booking.com. They could not give us another twin room in different location. In the end they gave us a king bed room and added a bed.

Ten out of ten- Extremely friendly staff, walking distance to Xuanwu Lake. Public transport just around the corner.

Pros: Great displays, beautiful lighting, very clean, quiet comfortable and spacious rooms. Especially thankful to the security manager Mr Hu for taking us to the top floor to see the 360 degree view of the NanJing city, absolutely spectacular and memorable.

Comfort and amazing views

Pros: Staff friendliness, room decor, Wi-Fi, food, lounge, views, location, sound proofing.

Cons: At 9pm the swimming pool was full of children. The male jacuzzi stated no minors under 16 years old. However, this was not adhered to and there was no management of it.

Pros: Room, decor, furniture, view, quality and selection of breakfast, staff friendliness, wifi speed, cleanliness.

Cons: Procedure to obtain an official receipt, training of guards to learn non-Chinese ID at the time are unable to input required health information from QR codes

Friendly luxury in Nanjing

Pros: The service was amazing. The team surprised my fianc and I with a cake and a card, and left us tiger-themed goodies for the Chinese New Year. Breakfast is copious and has lots of Chinese & Western options including tang bao, jian bing, and proper bacon. The spa area is nice and well maintained as are the pool and gym. Our room had a nice view with a huge bathroom and closet area. Little details like pillow choice made all the difference. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks to Shangri-la for making our Lunar New Year special!

Cons: The location is really close to the train station (good) but there isn't much around the hotel in the way of restaurants and shops.
