Pros: Staff where excellent. Meals where excellent Room although dated , was good with a magnificent View from the large veranda, Swimming pool was lovely and warm

Cons: Reception area was very dated and the Lounge and Bar was not acceptable. The Hotel had a happy hour for Drinks, but this ran from 7.30pm to 8.30pm whilst the restaurant was serving the meal. Happy hours are always offered for use , before meals. Say 5.30 to 6.30pm. The Hotel details on the website said it was 350m from the Marina. That could only be achieved if you used a Handglider. The distance , down hill was more like 1.5 miles , down hill, so a Taxi was necessary. Hotel should run a transport to the town centre

Pros: Very well located hotel with great views and a lovely pool. Exceptionally clean. The breakfast was excellent.

Cons: The decor is a little tired and the entertainment could do with a refresh.

The not so "Royal" Sun

Pros: The staff and the food in the Regency restaurant for both dinner and breakfast were excellent. This was ALL we liked about our stay.

Cons: I booked this hotel a year in advance for a special occasion. At this time I said I would need an early check in. A week before my stay the hotel emailed me asking if I had any special requests. I emailed them twice more requesting an early check in. On arrival my room was not ready until 4pm. This ruined what I had planned. So I suggest you ignore their pre departure email asking if they can do anything for you as they obviously don't take any notice. Finally, please see the photo of the view from our balcony. I was expecting a view of the cliffs and got a garbage skip. The stench from it was so bad we couldn't sit outside.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent as was the swimming pool. Apartment was spacious but in need of updating. The terrace was massive with a wonderful view.

Cons: Accommodation needed better lighting and was old fashioned. Given that walking to and from town was a challenge, a shuttle minibus would have been a positive service. Needed a good outside bar or one indoors that was more welcoming

Excellent - highly recommend this place

Pros: The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean, with an unbeatable view to the ocean and Los Gigantes. The huge terrace is also the perfect place for stargazing.

Cons: The nights are a bit chilly. Extra layers of blankets would be useful.

Pros: AMAZING Balcony, views and fabulous selection of tasty food for breakfast. Aqua on the top floor also fabulous. A really spacious bathroom and shower in the apartment.

Cons: It would have been nice to have if the beauty room did massages/spa facilities but could not fault anything.

Just loved it

Pros: Amazing views, wonderful balcony with marquees for a bit of shade, and loved the jacuzzi on the balcony. Great location, unobstructed views over the town and harbour, and always warm and sunny weather (22-24C), but not too hot. Big comfortable apartment in Scandinavian style, so we felt right at home, nice baths. All rooms equipped with air-source heat pumps, so it was easy to both warm up and cool down the rooms. Well equipped kitchen, but still preferred to have the breakfast - and most nights, also dinner at the Regency buffet restaurant. Great value especially when eating with picky kids, and, one of our family even has special dietary needs due to medical reasons, but also he could always find there several things he could enjoy.

Cons: Only minor complaints: for example, the pools were a bit cold, but you could then warm up by soaking in our own jacuzzi. And the automatic coffee machines in the breakfast were often acting up, creating a rather long queue for getting coffee. Pool towels needed to be fetched separately from the pool, and there was a deposit for them at the reception - I'd just rather add those into the room price, directly. Cleaning crew was very friendly and thorough, but seemed a bit exhausted and running late.

I recommend Sun Royal for a family or single stay if you get a good price.

Pros: Fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean and a big terrace. Good selection of food at breakfast except for a good selection of fresh fruits. I had bathrobes, it was kept clean. A nice swimming pool, also for kids.

Cons: The hotel offers old and modern rooms. My apartment was comfortable for 6 days but gave me no esthetical feelings, old used furniture in the living room & kitchenette was just depressing. The standard is of rather 3 not 4-star hotel facilities.
