Residence Inn is an extended stay hotel chain owned by Marriott. Founded in 1975, this chain of hotels started in Wichita, Kansas, through the efforts of Robert L. Brock and Jack DeBoer. It is great for a family if you don't care about having an indoor pool.

Pros: We liked the size of the room. We have four small kids and the room size was great for all of us. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. They had a wide variety of food, hot and cold that we could sit down and eat or grab and go. There was plenty to choose from!

Cons: The main reason we rented the room was for the indoor pool. I was traveling for work, but we wanted to go as a family and take our kids to see some sights. Since I had a 4 hour event at work, we planned on letting the kids and my spouse swim while I was at work. When we arrived, we discovered that the pool was broken and even drained. We were VERY disappointed. Staff did apologize and said they had notified booking.com several times about the pool but it was still being listed on the site as having an indoor pool.

Pros: Room was spacious.

Cons: The pool was closed which was the whole reason we got a room. This needs to be shared w guests or posted somewhere. The food was mediocre. I emailed the facility without a response.

Cons: BEFORE YOU BOOK, MAKE SURE THE POOL IS OPEN. Booking.com does not list that the pool is inoperable. The indoor pool wasn't open and since we had booked through booking.com, we weren't aware of this. It was the only reason why we booked this room. The "general manager" Serena wasn't much help either.

Nice stay, cold pool.

Pros: I liked the size of the room for the price. I stayed in a queen suite and it was nice to have the living area separate from the bedroom. The breakfast was also better than I was expecting.

Cons: The pool was freezing cold. The main reason I chose a hotel instead of a short term rental was to hopefully enjoy a warm pool with our toddler. I asked the front desk and they seemed to check into it, but then said that the heaters seemed to be working properly and were "up all the way", which I found hard to believe.
