Residence Inn is an extended stay hotel chain owned by Marriott. Founded in 1975, this chain of hotels started in Wichita, Kansas, through the efforts of Robert L. Brock and Jack DeBoer. It was only in 1987 that Residence Inn made some changes after it was acquired by Marriott International. As of 2018, this hotel chain has 803 hotels scattered all over Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

During its early years, Residence Inn buildings had were patterned after an outbuilding style. Pros: Liked location Saturday's breakfast was phenomenal,the attendant was great

Cons: The breakfast on Sunday was awful we took one look and left,the sausage was burnt, grits were like water guest spilled cereal and milk all over counter, and it wasn't cleaned up . We know there's no way the same person that prepared the breakfast on Saturday couldn't have made the breakfast on Sunday. It would be nice if booking would let you know if location is undergoing construction parking was challenging at first we had to park in hospital lot

It was convenient but had a few disadvantages that could be better or should be stated before arriva

Pros: For the most part it was a decent stay staff was pretty nice the location was good & they have breakfast even though we didn't get to eat or look to see what they had

Cons: We didn't get to go to pool given hours it closed & Didn't use grills the area didn't look like it did online clean extra chairs set up etc & the little market wasn't stocked up @all also the bar is closed indefinitely but you don't know that until you get there or that there's also an extra hold put on your card that's not added or stated before you stay so you can prepare for & if you use booking or other sites your reservations aren't guaranteed if they are over booked & have their club members who need a room too so you can travel & possibly be stuck without a room which is very sad especially if everyone else is booked an we made ours 2 months in advance

Pros: Its a very old property, that needs work. Wall paper was coming off in the hallway. The room had a funky smell, the couch was worn and dirty looking, and the bath tub has worn, dirty looking molding that needs to be replaced. The outdoor patio furniture looked terrible and worn, with holes in it and the tv in the room looked like it belonged in an museum, as a ancient artifact.Worst looking marriot I ever stayed in and certain members of the staff , werent very professional.

Cons: Not clean- hair on bedding, very old carpet (scared to take off shoes/socks), water was brown when first turned on. TV didnt work. Out dated furniture including yellow (supposed to be white) landline. Elevator makes concerning noises while running. No ramp to enter/exit with suitcases from parking area. Rock hard mattress. Vent loud when running.
