Residence Inn is an extended stay hotel chain owned by Marriott. Founded in 1975, this chain of hotels started in Wichita, Kansas, through the efforts of Robert L. Brock and Jack DeBoer. Pros: Lots of space in the room for a good price. Breakfast staff were really nice, breakfast was good. Perfect location for NSF meeting.

Cons: Room was a little dated and worn, no USB ports in the bedroom, no housekeeping during my stay.

Pros: I liked how close it is to the stations and how easy it is to get to old Town Alexandria or downtown DC. I also loved the facilities, a true studio suite.

Cons: The booking.com reservation came under a slightly different name than I expected. When I used my last name to try to check in there was nothing in the system that related to my booking. I also tried to use my confirmation number to pull up my reservation, but it did not work either. It wasn't until I attempted with first name 15 mins and one call to booking.com later that I was able to check in. It would be amazing if in the future you ensure multiple options for confirming a reservation.
