Cons: We were extremely disappointed with food. It was awful! We ended up taking taxi and going to Playa del Carmen for dinner while having here 2 meals included

Overpriced, dated resort.

Pros: The pool and access to the beach, free yoga.

Cons: The room was incredibly dated and dark, not particularly inviting. For the amount I paid I would expect a much higher quality. Breakfast and dinner were included but these were buffet style and there were no vegan options, so it was a bit pointless for me.

Pros: Friendly staff and it was a small hotel not like the big over crowded ones. Felt personable where staff get to know you.

Cons: It was far from main 5th Ave but thats ok because its a 15 min taxi ride. Also nice to be away from crowds and noise

We loved our stay!!

Pros: We loved the Petit Lafitte Hotel because it is a different place, without the crowds of another big hotels. We had a partial ocean view room with a small Balcony that was perfect. We enjoyed hammocks at the beach and to have breakfast and dinner included. We could enjoy another restaurants in town for lunch.

Cons: I think the entrance could be difficult in rain season. Beds are too small for two people. Could be queen size.

I enjoyed my stay there for the one time but would not return.

Pros: The staff was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They had music most nights and that was a nice touch. We were upgraded to a bungalow that was right on the beach. The pool was beautiful and in a nice location. There were plenty of fresh beach towels and chaises on the beach. There was a barbeque one evening which was fun. Lots of good food and music.

Cons: Unfortunately the food in the restaurant was not very good. There was a partial buffet for breakfast and for dinner and then you order off the menu. It was very repetitious and there was not much to choose from Dinner was only 2 selections. The hotel was very far from town. It was a $25 fare in each direction and took about 40 minutes, it made going there for dinner inconvenient. That made us a captive audience for dinner each night.
