Basic but OK, neighboorhood not the best

Pros: This hotel is very basic. But in the category 'basic' it is OK. The neighourhood is not the best one. But so very close to the railroadstation that for us, traveling by train, it was a great location. You do get your value for money when you know this hotel is basic and nothing more than that.

Cons: We did not like the neighbourhood.

Pros: The location is quite close to the main train station and the city centre.

Cons: The street leading to the hotel is just awful. Very, very dirty and loud. At times, I didn't feel safe. Drunk people in the area, there are some X cinemas and gamble places. It felt quite nasty. In order to go in the hotel, you must ring a bell and sometimes they take their time to allow you in. First night when I arrived, I paid for my reservation and they couldn't provide me with an invoice in English, which seems kind of like really basic for an international travel, but anyway... The bathroom is quite narrow, although pristine. The bed wasn't really comfortable and the pillows were nothing but painful to use. I had to fold them in order to get some consistent base for my head. The breakfast was alright, but last day was on a weekend, which was up to 11am, I decided to go down a bit later and when I got there, there was almost nothing left. I think I had a toast and an apple. Another very annoying thing is that every time i leave the hotel, I must leave the key. They don't have cards for the rooms, so when coming back, you have to go through reception in order to retrieve your key. One night there was a huge group checking in and the receptionist didn't even look at me, so when he was about to proceed to give individual keys to all of them, I had to get his attention to get my key.

Cons: This place is terrible! Not safe at night We booked and we arrived they told me that there is no room left and theyre charged me anyway.do yourself a favor and dont go there

Disaster

Pros: The walking distance to sightseeing in Hamburg.

Cons: Had to pay a lot extra than what the rooms price was annonced. My colleague was moved from his room while we were sightseeing. All his stuff was put into my room. Never experienced anything like this ever before.

Great service but would not stay there for too long

Pros: Had very friendly staff who were accommodating and offering me help. I had the first room which was on first floor and I asked to be moved to a higher floor because I suffer from insects bites which I did in the first 2 nights

Cons: The location and lack of security Front door was opened without checking who was ringing. The place they are based is a it off because constantly police were coming or around

Nice overnight stay close to central station

Pros: Nice breakfast, close to central station.

Cons: The lift is really small and you need to take stairs in order to come to the lift.

Pros: nothing

Cons: no plugs in bedroom, no bathroom in bedroom, not clear information on website as to what you will actually get as a bedroom. I felt very unsafe.

I do not recommend the place and will not book it again.

Cons: The room was smaller than advertised. It did not have a lamp at the beds, and the only light of the whole room was not bright enough. The staff was unpleasant.

Cons: Mold in the bathroom. Reception staff was incredibly unfriendly. Sofa bed was horrible. Overall the room was in a bad shape

Pros: The location, its really close to the main train station. Breakfast is alright.

Cons: The fact, that the room had carpet / the lack of plug in the room / no free wifi

Pros: Breakfast was adequate

Cons: No AC in rooms. No cleaning of room during stay, towels not replaced or toilet rolls etc. No kettle or other type of facilities in room.

In my opinion, the biggest advantage of the hotel is the location.

Pros: Kindness and helpfulness of some receptionists. Breakfast was satisfactory. The location is excellent.

Cons: I think they could give me a nicer room, but not a room with a view of the gray roof on which the boot was thrown. People hanging out on the street are a bit scary.

Be careful in the neighbourhood

Pros: Nothing

Cons: It was in a horrible neighbourhood with a giant sex shop right beside the hotel, the entrance was small and you it was locked so you had to be beeped in. The check in was tense and hard to understand. We were going to stay for 2 nights but ended switching hotels after 45 minitues

Pros: Near to public transportation

Cons: The staff were very unprofessional and unhelpful. When I called ahead to ask about best place for parking, he told me to look on Google.

Decent hotel in the centre of town that met our requirements.

Pros: Very central location although the neighbourhood felt a bit "dodgy", maybe not the best to walk to with kids. Breakfast was great. We had issues with not being able to lock our door initially, which could only be locked by the reception. Eventually, this was dealt with though it did not feel very professional. The staff did not stand out for their friendliness.

Cons: Staff could have been more engaging and making guests feel welcome.
