Hesperia hotels is a brand working under the NH Hotels after the two companies decided to merge their business back in 2009. NH Hotels started managing the Hesperia brand since 2010. Hotels from these brands are divided into three categories, the NH Collection Hotels, NH Hotels and NHOW. Mainly created to cater to the needs of the business and leisure travelers, Hesperia hotels offers an escape from the daily work and a great place to enjoy and spend the holidays.

With over 40-years of experience in the business, Hesperia has now over 350 hotels in 28 markets in several international destinations such as Barcelona, Berlin, Rome, Vienna, Bogota, Mexico City and London, to name  a few. However, this growth did not initially came into the company. Its nationwide growth started in the late 1980s and continued from then on.

Hesperia entered the international market in 2004 and aggressively launched 240 new hotels with 35,000 rooms in 18 different countries in Europe, Africa and Latin America. By 2006, the company managed to acquire the Framon and Jolly hotel chains making it a leader in the Italian hotel and accommodation market. Hesperia under NH Hotels was awarded the Best Place to Work in Spain and received the prestigious Prince Felipe Award for Excellence in Tourism in 2006.

    Pros: We had a lovely stay in Bilbao! The hotel is in a great location, super close to the Guggenheim. Only 10 min walk from the bus stop from the airport, which was really easy to find. Easily walkable to the old town and restaurants with the amazing pintxos!!! The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was super clean, with blackout blinds and was really quiet for a good night's sleep! Would definitely recommend!
    Cons: Only thing I'd say is there are pictures showing a roof top area which we were excited about but when we arrived we were told there wasn't one?? A bit confusing but not the end of the world...

    Pros: Booked only to be able to pick up a package, so can't rate hotel. But staff were very helpful and understanding. Parked car here and was given guest rate for parking.
    Cons: It was a surprise - and not a nice one - to discover guests had to pay for parking, only €3 less than general public, and it wasn't cheap - €23 per night! I'd presumed it would be free for guests

    Pros: The team at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel - right in front of the river - was very convenient. The hotel was great value for money.
    Cons: The furniture in the bedrooms is quite dated and gives a slightly old feeling to the bedroom.

    Pros: Within easy walking distance of everything. A very clean hotel.
    Cons: Its a hotel, so it doesnt have cooking facilities or washer dryer but we knew that before we got there. However, they did supply coffee and milk.
