Lovely stay in Beijing

Pros: The hotel is located in the heart of zone 1 in Beijing, however, it is not that busy hectic like Wangfujing. It is quiet and with lots of restaurants around. The staff at the hotel are helpful.

Best hotel ever

Pros: We completely love the support of the staff, especially from Robin, Fisher and the other guys and girls that work in this unique place called New World Beijing Hotel. They booked taxi for us, bought tickets for visiting places and gave recommendations for local restaurants and gave us any kind of support. Robin was very kind and helpful with us for everything, and was very friendly to us. We recommend the hotel for the position also, 'cause you can reach every place in Beijing in an easy way. The room was clean and big. The breakfast and the dinner were also very good and also we found very good local food, we loved the fish cooked with tomatoes and noodles, dumplings and the cakes. We also used the swimming pool, sauna and we loved the service.

Cons: The only thing that was a problem for us was the WiFi even if maybe depend from the apps that we usually used in Italy and are forbidden in China. But we appreciate the support from all the staff.

Very comfortable stay

Pros: The hotel is in a very good location, a few minutes walk from the Metro station and a 30-40 minute walk from Tiananmen Square. The room was very spacious and clean, the bathroom included both a shower and a bathtub and toiletries (plus slippers and bathrobes). The bed was sper king and extremely comfortable and the curtains black out. There was a kettle available for instant coffee and tea. The staff spoke very good English and were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great, with a wide variety of Asian and Western food cuisines.

Cons: There could have been a coffee machine instead of a kettle, like a capsule coffee machine.

Great hotel in close proximity to Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven.

Pros: Modern and spacious hotel. The room had access to the Residence Lounge. This was an ideal spot for a couple of drinks, a coffee or to get some work done. I was well served by Evren 3 days in a row - he was attentive and helpful and spoke good English. The pool and spa facilities were great.

Cons: The wifi dropped out a few times, but this was a minor issue which resolved itself by the end of my stay.

Pros: Very nice modern hotel at great location, Super market, shopping options and sights in walking distance. Staff was speaking English and supportive when booking a taxi. Great, spacious room. I received a free room upgrade and enjoyed it very much. Restaurant very good, lots of choices at the buffet. Room service was great as well. Would defintely recommend this hotel.

Cons: As in most Chinese hotels, some guests still smoke in their rooms - the smell is occasionally noticeable. Matress was very hard. Other than that no complaints at all

Great location, superb service, but a little disappointing

Pros: Location is very very good - right in the heart of Beijing. Front desk staff are top notch - knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

Cons: I have no serious complaints, but I did notice one thing that I hadnt seen on my previous visits to the New World Beijing Hotel. The hotel has a nice modern design with a clean and modern aesthetic . We had reserved a standard room but were kindly upgraded to what was described to us as a superior, and larger room at no extra charge. The room was perfectly clean and very large but Beijing standards but it was not in the best of conditions. Not a big problem, but a bit disappointing. The sofa had peeling skin, the carpet was worn, the drapes would not close, etc. Not up to the standard Ive see there in the past.

Pros: The staff are very friendly. We really appreciated the service of Evren working at the residence club. He is very nice person attentive to guests and professional.

Cons: We had unfortunately a disappointing experience this time with the hotel. We stayed in the one-bedroom suite. It appeared to us that there is no cooking ware or utensils provided in the suite despite the full fledged kitchen with induction stovetop, oven, microwave, sink and spacious room size (106-sqm) including a kitchen island. We had to ask for pans and pots. But it is not possible to prepare our own food as we expected as the hotel did not have these basic stuff prepared for guests self-catering and there is no dishwasher or cleaning stuff in the suite. I am very puzzled- whats the point of having a full kitchen then?! Other than that, we had difficulty to sleep well on the hard bed. The service centre tried to help by adding more blankets on top and another thin layer of mattress topper. But did not work- this is very different experience from our stay in 2019, when the hotel was new. Anyway, this is a personal experience. Another negative experience was with the late check out. I was told by the front desk one night before that all rooms are booked and they could not offer any late check out (at 15:00). When I requested the next morning again because my partner fell sick, I was told I could pay for half day more to stay until 18:00. I did pay another 200 USD to stay. But did not feel good with the front desks excuse the night before.
