Very misleading

Cons: For the most part there was no reception/managerial staff. The rooms provided zero shelf/counter space in the bathrooms. The rooms were well worn and certainly need paint touchups if not refurbishing. One morning even the subpar breakfast was simply not provided. When the cleaning staff arrived in the mornings, they began their work in the hallways very loudly long before 8:30 in the morning. The person on site in the afternoon/evening claimed no responsibility for whatever was happening. On the mornings when the substandard breakfast was available and well within the stated breakfast timeslot, we were asked by the cleaning staff to get out of their way. The elevator in the building where one of our rooms was located was not functional and even when it was, it did not service all floors. At no time in the booking process was it clear that some rooms were not part of the pictured facilities. The photos that were provided were misleading. The most minimal Airbnbs are better. Never again.

Pros: The facility was beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the size of the rooms as well. The staff very friendly and accommodating.

Cons: Due to a party renting out the main house, which, I was notified a week before my stay, I did not have access to the pool. My party was given the option of going 5 blocks to a neighboring pool. Also, the fridge did not get cold but the staff accommodated me.

Pros: Mr. Caleb was phenomenal. He made my stay amazing I felt like I was at home. The property is beautiful. I love it. I cannot wait to book this property again.

Wonderful historic hotel with a fun, relaxed vibe.

Pros: The hotel staff was wonderful. Friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Close the downtown and the interstate and in a very cozy, family friendly neighborhood.

Cons: Voices carry so it was a little noisy sometimes.

Pros: Excellent location! Very large comfortable room with a full kitchen and large bathroom. It is the perfect quiet escape, but still close to both the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. Stop by Buffa's next door for a night cap!

Cons: It had a gorgeous full kitchen, but unfortunately the fridge was broken.

NOLA Classic Modern Mansion in a Great Location

Pros: The mansion was in a perfect location. The property was well kept. It had a modern classic feel. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were exceptional. We will definitely stay here again!

Cons: The TV in the bedroom was not connected to cable. The shower was a deep soak - step in tub which would not be ideal for older folks or those with physical disabilities.

Beatiful old charm with updated bathrooms.

Pros: Loved the very specious rooms, tall ceilings, and old architecture. Entry & lobby were also beautiful. Location was perfect for being out of the crowds yet close enough to walk to the quarter & Frenchmen. Cute old bar called Buffas right next door.

Cons: Pillows were very firm (but could just be my personal preference) Pool wasn't crystal clear so therefore wasn't something I wanted to get in. (maybe it is better later in the season?)

Exceptional

I wish I could live at Melrose Mansion.

Pros: The location of this property was perfect, right on the edge of the French Quarter, so close enough to walk, but far enough to be out of the noise at night. The property is beautiful and so tastefully decorated and Brian went above and beyond every day we were there making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay and Caleb did an excellent job of making sure the property had everything we needed. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely place. I have been visiting New Orleans many times over the past 30 years and this is by far my favorite place to stay.

Cons: I wasnt disappointed by it or anything, but I will be glad when this property starts serving breakfast again, along with the evening wine and cheese.
