About La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

 

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

 

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

    Pros: It was real clean and presentable the room was smelling Good and the bed was made up and it was clean hotel overall
    Cons: Yeah when you ask for extra towels you do not receive them extra towels none of their speaks English except two The one at the front desk what you do not tell you about the $50 broom key deposit

    dont stay here this place...

    Pros: breakfast was trash . location trash. bathroom door had blood stains on it. shower floor was brown. just disgusting
    Cons: i didnt like the fact staff thought it was okay to GO THROUGH OUR BELONGINGS and pack our stuff up over a “miscommunication “ and not even let us know or give me a call. THEY HAD MY NUMBER ON FILE. worst hotel ive ever stayed at

    Wonderful

    Pros: Nice bathroom. Beds comfy.neighbor noisy but did stop by 11 6 pm.
    Cons: Breakfast was disappointing

    Pros: It was close to nicer dining.
    Cons: The rooms were filthy nothing compared to the advertised paint pilling off the walls curtains was dirty and a hole in the ceiling

    Pros: Nothing room is updated clean would be an overstatement of ignorance, hard beds, dirty floor, dirty buildings, not a nice place to stay
    Cons: Everything could’ve been better. They should update the facility and charge more money.

    Awful, disappointing. Unable to shower....

    Pros: Didn’t get breakfast
    Cons: I had no hot water in my room. Unable to shower. Management showed little concern. Had someone come check and they told management there was no hot water. Manager suggested they’d refund me because they had no other available rooms, but they didn’t. Felt like something was crawling on bed. Sheets likely not changed regularly. Strong smell of marijuana from next door and they kept television blasting all night. Felt like a trap motel. Unacceptable to not have access to hot water. Will never stay at a LaQuinta again.

    Cons: Unit was in poor repair. Water under floor vinyl, paint peeling off lamps, beds a bit stiff.
