About La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

 

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

 

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

    Pros: Nothing
    Cons: Everything, the rooms had a very strong dampness stench, had some paint falling from the ceiling due to the dampness they looked tatty and even the pool had green moss all around. Honestly it looked more like a low cost hostel than a hotel. So we arrived, checked in and 20 minutes later we were cancelling and leaving the place. Please I highly recommend that you do not offer this place to anyone on your site. We know it’s policy so we actually lost the payment for one night.

    Cons: I have been here many times. Place seems old and run down. Ac unit was weak and loud microwave was dirty toilet was moving when sat on. Bed was uncomfortable no tissues or extra toilet paper

    Pros: It was close to my work
    Cons: For breakfast there was no milk no cold water just hot water. Looks like it been there for days. They didn’t left extra towels. And last time I book to stay and I couldn’t make it and they didn’t wanna cancel. They just charge me.

    Very Poor

    Won't stay there again!

    Pros: Check out - to get out of there and get back home. Not a nice stay, barely any sleep.
    Cons: The location was perfect for the reason we were here (to be close to the Cleveland clinic hospital). The Hotel at first glance was horribly not taken care of. The outside needs a major pressure wash. It was extremely dirty and first glance you do not want to stay there. The inside there was no reception attendant for quite some time. After another guest called and called the hotel, the attendant finally came in and apparently was stuck in the bathroom. When we got into the elevator it felt as if the floor was going to cave in, it is defiantly in need of repair. Then we got into our room that had a musty smell in it. It was very old, and although attempted to be clean, you can not clean old and rusty. The bed had a dip in the middle in one of them and moved alot! The AC was not working properly. We put it on 66 and slept on top of our sheets as the AC in the room maybe reached 75 it felt. Overall, a bad experience.
