Jordan House Hotel Reviews Summary

Wonderful
I enjoyed myself very much.
Pros: I liked the decor in the room. I liked the location as it was quaint and quiet and it was near Niagara Falls. It was a lot less than Comfort Inn in Niagara Falls so the price was good.
Cons: I would have prefered to check in on site and not have to go down the road to Inn on Twenty.

Functional and with a great...
Pros: The Jordan House Hotel is located in the quaint and quickly gentrifying burg of Jordan Village. Already a nice place to visit, located in the middle of Ontario Wine Country, it will soon be much better. The Jordan House is managed by the vaunted "Inn on the Twenty" which has a great reputation for fine dinning and lodging. It is located right beside the Jordan House Tavern which has good food and a lively atmosphere, including bands on the weekends. The room was spacious roomy and had many of the right amenities, but felt a bit tired. Staff--to the limited degree I saw any--were young and friendly. The AC worked well, though lighting was a bit dim and fixtures felt a bit battered. And I was surprised by the excellent sound insulation when I arrived one evening to find a very loud band playing in the Tavern and a door open to the lodging hall, yet my room was nearly completely silent just four or five doors away!
Cons: Unfortunately, Jordan House Hotel is a "unstaffed property" and you have to check in at the Inn on the Twenty several blocks away (further complicated by significant street construction)--something that wasn't disclosed in advance in either the reservation process or by advance e-mail. You arrive at the front door with your bags in hand to discover instructions on a sign. All went smoothly, but was a cumbersome process that had to be repeated at check-out. They also use "real keys" which is quaint, but again complicates the check-in/check-out. Given the reputation of Inn on the Twenty, the rooms feel a bit more "boarding house" than "fine hotel". While spacious--particularly the bathroom--finishes are decidedly downscale (laminate countertops, fiberglass shower stall, battered/dated lighting fixtures, mismatched bath amenities,). Though exceptionally clean, and with a fridge, bottles of water, coffeemaker, etc., the rooms have more of a "Super 8" feel than that even of a Hampton or Fairfield Inn. I'd stay here again, based on location and basic amenities/cleanliness, for the purposes of seeing family or a quick business trip, but not for a romantic weekend getaway. This is a functional, but not luxurious facility.

fantastic day just don’t be...
Pros: The location in the lovely town of Jordan was perfect. The attachment to the Jordan Tavern was smart and easy to access. The value for the property is perfect.
Cons: we felt as though priority has been given to Inn on the 20. The Jordan Howse had trim around the air conditioning unit that literally fell onto the ground. The electrical sockets had backward polarity, and there did not seem to be any switches near the bed. The lovely scented shampoo and conditioner was almost impossible to get out of their bottles. We sound like we’re being picky. Maybe we are. But sometimes it’s a little things that annoy you. With everything said I would still return the value was great, the location, fabulous, and meals at the Jordan tavern or fun on the patio..

Beautiful small town location with...
Pros: The hotel room was spacious and had little details that we realized many other hotels don't have but are Little luxuries we don't think about (e.g. milkettes in the fridge for coffee, paper towel roll).
Cons: The registration was at a different location for where our hotel room was located and we didn't see that information ahead of time but the staff at the tavern allowed our luggage to stay there while we checked in. Ultimately a positive at the end!

We had a wonderful stay...
Pros: We had a great experience at this cute hotel - clean, well kept room, kind check-in staff, bottles of water provided, easy parking, and near cute shops/bakery/restaurants.
Cons: Perhaps a memo in the email regarding check-in being located at Inn on the Twenty.
