Pros: We had a room on the 15th floor overlooking the city and marina. We stayed in a few hotels over the course of our trip and the beds here were definitely the most comfortable. The pool area was great and our 11 year old loved the slides. We had drinks in the Red Marlin but didn't eat there as thought it was too pricey. Nice place to go for a drink though.

Cons: Pelican food was not great and overpriced and the smore kit is cheaper in the shop near the lobby and you get more marshmallows. Room still had trash in the drawers when we arrived. Not enough towels for 5 people. Tea or hot chocolate options would be nice in the room. Microwave or toaster in suite would help. $25 to use a toaster is crazy.

Cons: Paid an affluent room rate for a king corner suite with marina view. Was given 3 rd floor room with a view to a rusty a/c unit. Charged a $50 resort fee. Plus a $59 a night parking fee. The hotel is in the flight path of the San Diego airport. You hear planes day and night taking off. 24/7. Horrible hotel, location and scammy last minute fees.

Cons: I feel compelled to share my recent, utterly disappointing experience at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa And Marina, a stay that was not just underwhelming but downright infuriating. To anyone considering this hotel for their stay, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere unless you're keen on wasting your money on a facade of luxury that doesn't exist. Let's start with the so-called "luxury" room we were assigned in the tower, supposedly a prime spot with a balcony. The reality? A decrepit space that screams neglect, with furnishings that are not just outdated but broken. It felt more like stepping into a low-budget motel from a bygone era than a room in what is marketed as a prestigious hotel chain. The bathroom was a horror show - rust, mold, and grime everywhere, a shocking sight in what they dare to call a four-star establishment. The pervasive musty stench in the corridors was a constant reminder of the hotel's state of decay, making every return to the room a dreaded experience. But the real kicker? The audacity to charge a $50 parking fee on top of a staggering $400 per night, plus a "resort" fee of another $50, for what can only be described as a subpar experience. It's a slap in the face, especially when you consider the hotel's location right under the flight path of San Diego airport, ensuring a relentless barrage of aircraft noise day and night. The lack of soundproofing means you might as well be trying to sleep on the runway itself. Despite the staff at the front desk and the bellhops being the only redeeming feature with their friendly demeanor, it does little to compensate for the overall dismal experience. It's a travesty to label this establishment as part of the Hyatt Regency brand, let alone a resort. In conclusion, my stay at his hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. There are far better options available where your money and peace of mind will be better spent.

Pros: Location was great for us. The breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was top notch - we opted to have this included in our room rate, otherwise the price for the breakfast is really high. It was a full buffet and great. Pool was nice, but consistently dirty with items floating in it (bandaids, clothes, leaves, etc).

Cons: The bathroom was run down and dirty. The shower was pretty gross and it could have been much cleaner. The shower head was dirty.
