Pros: The room was a nice size and exactly what I booked. The bathroom shower was nice and had good water pressure. The bed was very comfortable and the television was easy to operate. I was very appreciative that we were able to bring our kittens. The breakfast offered a nice variety of foods.

Cons: The hotel was hot and dry. The cleaning staff was very nice but I had to chase them down in order to get our room cleaned. We had our kittens with us so the staff may have been avoiding our room. I was trying to clean up after the pets, but a vacuum every other day would have been great! I tried asking the front desk if I could get a vacuum or have the room vacuumed but I guess there was no way to adequately communicate the request.

Pros: OK well I booked through booking.com but it never really got to the Hyatt. The staff was so great - they were booked but next door the Marriott. Owned by same owners as the Hyatt - quickly got me in an even lower rate - provided me access to the Hyatt Pool and complimentary breakfast. The staff was indeed the best I have come across in hotel stays in quite some time. Most impressed. I would come back and next time I will book directly and leave those "booking" sites behind!

Pros: The staff at the desk were very friendly. our room was excellent. Our room was very clean and spacious. The price was what I had hoped for when booking a stay in Buffalo. I like that the room has a sitting area which some hotels lack so that during the day you don't have to use your bed. Bathroom was also large and comfortable.

Cons: Breakfast was a huge disappointment. They actually have a card in the room "warning" you about the busy times, but I feel that if they used the space more efficiently and had breakfast staff responding to and anticipating guests then disappointment could be avoided.I understand that one of my "breakfast days" was a Sunday but they were constantly running out of food and had people standing around waiting for replenishment. This could be avoided by using actual chafing dishes instead of small"trendy" pots with very heavy lids that were awkward to try and hold and serve yourself at the same time. The breakfast staff were to slow to respond when bowls and plasticware kept being depleted. The breakfast layout was not condusive to any type of crowd and the offerings were light. The worst part of all is what they called the "liquid bucket" which is where you are supposed to dispose of liquids from your breakfast (cereal milk, drinks etc.) .This was left on the counter near the actual garbage. Now I understand cleaning up after myself from a self serve breakfast but this was disgusting . The smell and sight had me gagging . This could be avoided by investing in heavy duty garbage bags. If free breakfast is important to you then I suggest Hampton Inn Amherst because they do it right. If room value and size are more important then you are in the right place.
