About Howard Johnson By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Howard Johnson, founded by Howard Deering Johnson, is an American hotel chain and motels located mainly all over Canada and United States. Apart from hotels, Howard Johnson was once a chain of restaurants for more than 90 years. After his success in the restaurant business, Johnson decided to venture in the hotel industry. Howard Johnson motels and hotels are currently part of Wyndham Worldwide.

It was in 1954 that the very first Howard Johnson’s motor lodge was opened. The first branch was located in Savannah, Georgia. Over the years their restaurant business and motels have grown drastically. By 1961, they already have 605 restaurants wherein in 265 of them was company owned and the rest was franchised. Their Howard Johnson’s motor lodges had also been franchised in The Bahamas and in 32 states.

Today, Howard Johnson is operated by Wyndham under a number of tiers based on services offered, amenities and price. When Wyndham took over some of their hotel, rooms were renovated providing guests with a more comfortable stay. They also have hotels that are pet-friendly and has large swimming pools for a morning or afternoon dip.     Pros: This is where poor people go to do drugs. I paid for a room and uploaded pictures so that you don’t have to stay here, you’re welcome. The most unsanitary and disgusting hotel I’ve ever seen. I left immediately and was refused a refund. Yes, I think that’s a dead and very dried out roach in the drawer… Treat yourself to better lodging, don’t stay here.

    Cons: After my daughter stayed there they went and knocked on the door and asked my daughter who was staying there after they saw my daughter and my grandkids walking upstairs to the room that they had gave them there was two 10 then in the morning my son-in-law came down to get breakfast they were just staring at my son-in-law and last song what room was he staying at then my son-in-law feel uncomfortable started going upstairs to the room and they follow him to make sure that he was staying there and not eating food for free

    Never again

    Cons: After my daughter stayed there they went and knocked on the door and asked my daughter who was staying there after they saw my daughter and my grandkids walking upstairs to the room that they had gave them there was two 10 then in the morning my son-in-law came down to get breakfast they were just staring at my son-in-law and last song what room was he staying at then my son-in-law feel uncomfortable started going upstairs to the room and they follow him to make sure that he was staying there and not eating food for free
