Pros: I cannot start to explain how undervalued this property is, from staff to services to the transparent floor rooftop bar to the most delicious cider I had. The pools, Yes the POOLS are amazing and the different places they made to sit and relax and enjoy the serenity of Udaipur is beyond words. Its a steal my friends , ITS A STEAL. BOOK IT, THAT'S IT. The owner of the resort is the most humble person I ever met, he has an amazing sense of design which is reflected in the property's ambience. I booked the premier room and the washroom is bigger than most properties room. The marble bathtub is perfect for your baths and what not. Go for it.

Worst property and management in Chandpole area

Pros: The location is good. Not a good option if you are traveling by your own car. The lanes are extremely narrow as the hotel is in the Old City.

Cons: There was an open Gutka packet in our room. The chair was damaged by hookah coal. They switched on the hot water system for specific timings of the day. The swimming pool stays open till 5 pm only. There is a bathtub in the room but you can't use it as there is a leakage. Breakfast, they quote, is complimentary. But is it pathetic. The tables were dirty. Basic items like coffee and tea jugs were empty, imagine the state of the rest of the items. Half of the things were not there on the serving table. Idlis were stale and oily. I feel bad for the stewards and waiters. They are more committed than the Manager, Mr. Hukumraj. After sharing our feedback with him on the 1st day, he just called a random bellboy and scolded him. I am sure he had no role in these verticals. The manager took zero steps in improving our stay at Udai Kothi. Extremely unhappy with the behaviour of senior management. They deserve a rating of -10. While checking out, they tried to pacify the situation by giving us a complimentary boat ride. They thought we were doing this for freebies. Families and couples, please don't book this hotel. They will definitely ruin your vacation.

Cons: Facilities not properly maintained. Staff does not respond properly to complaints. AC was not working properly. To much water leakage. Nobody came to clean up the water even after 3 reminders.

Beautiful hotel with hopeless staff

Pros: Beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. Two swimming pools in sun and shade. Delicious craft brewery.

Cons: Inattentive and uninterested staff all round, they need training. Nb the bath was disconnected from the water supply.

Cons: there was power failure entire night till 4am in the morning and all the guests including kids and elderly people were waiting outside the property the manager and owner went missing there was no staff to help us or assist us with water to drink even the washrooms had no water it was one of the most horrible experience very rude staff and very poor hospitality whn I tried reaching out to booking.com team even they didnt help us Not willing to book any property through them in future

Pros: light went out. staff ran away. all guests got together to fix issue and by 5am we all could resume basic power and water but not ac.

Pros: The Shef Vikas for morning breakfast and staff Mr. Vinod was excellent. Both of them served from their heart. It was pleasure to interact with them.

Pros: Beautiful accommodation with a palace feel! Breakfast included was nice and staff were very friendly. Great location close to to the City Palace and all the shops/bazaars.

Pros: The entry area outside is appealing, the overall hotel is of the traditional style I like on my stays in Udaipur please don't think I don't like the traditional touches throughout my room I do, it's authentic. The male staff at the reception desk aren't very friendly but the staff across the hotel and restaurant are delightful. The roof top restaurant is excellent. The breakfast could be improved perhaps adding pancakes as well as the delicious omelette. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and I will stay again.

Cons: The toilet flushing system was continually problematic and the staff tried to help. The sheets and pillowcases are too old and yellowed and should be replaced. There was rat poo on the window sill inside the breakfast seated area, just an oversight as I do understand rodents are difficult to control but if I see it in the restaurant I can only imagine what it's like out in the kitchen.

Pros: Really beautiful swimming pools - just right in the heat. close proximity to the lake. Nice room.

Cons: Breakfast very limited for westerners, Indian food good. Slow service. But note most of the complaints in this area are from Indian tourists, who demand very prompt indulgence and love bossing the staff around. It definitely deserves a higher average rating.
