    Cons: The electronic control system in the room was really confusing - no labels on the touch buttons The bathroom toilet was square and uncomfortable The basin taps were infrared controlled but water didn't flow for more than 5 seconds - very tricky to fill a basin or wash hands

    Beautiful location but sadly a very poor hotel.

    Pros: Its location & view
    Cons: The rooms are very poor, dull and pretty uncomfortable. Air con doesnt work. The hotel is soulless. If it wasnt for the lack of alternatives I wouldnt have stayed. Staff are in the main ok. Reception were particularly lovely.

    Unfortunately no longer an upmarket hotel, poor value.

    Pros: Excellent location, although Orta San Guillio is looking a bit run down these days
    Cons: We stayed at this property 20 years ago when it was the height of modernity, unfortunately ion our room at least it looks like it has never been maintained or refurbished since then, the bathroom fittings are very tired and it was not clean, the bedroom door lock didnt lock properly. The front of house staff were excellent, however the pool area and terrace staff were either in hiding or when they could be found were not interested

    Cons: Andrea at reception very helpful- he advised on restaurants. The girl on reception could not be bothered to give any information and kept yawning.

    Great location, just a short walk into the town. Lovely rooms, staff and breakfast.

    Pros: Everything was wonderful, especially watching thunderstorms at night over the lake from our balcony.

    Pros: Very nice old hotel on the lake. Nice pool and excellent breakfast and dinner. Very kind employees.
    Cons: One only bad note: no easy access to the lake for swimming.

    Amazing location, great food, a little more attention to detail would make this truly exceptional.

    Pros: Incredible location, good pool, good seats.The food in the restaurant was exceptional, if a little expensive. Breakfast service was excellent, very good food service. Valet parking.
    Cons: Some basic things would make a major difference: stairs into the lake, rather than a slippery rock; a bath plug (we asked for one but it never came); someone on duty at the pool all the time (we had to go hunting for someone to get towels on the second day); enough toilet paper without having to ask. For the high price, we would expect these things to be sorted. Probably not the hotels fault, but the modern art in the lake somewhat spoiled the view!

    Very Good

    A perfect location to relax and unwind. Friendly staff and lovely bar and restaurant area.

    Pros: Great location on the lake. Water was very clean and you could swim from beside the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. The local village was near by with plenty of restaurants. Boat trips to the island from the square. It is smaller and less busy than other lakes which we really liked. A great relaxing break. Their was a music evening with special food which was excellent, really enjoyable. Great location to also go to Lake Maggiore. We went to Stresa and the islands which were very beautiful especially Bella.
    Cons: The pool walls were covered in fake tan and sun tan lotion which put me off swimming in it. We swam in the lake instead.
