Lovely Valentine stay!

Pros: Location, right near Marche des Enfants Rouges. Design of the room. The bed took up a large chunk of the room but the wrap around features were well designed and likeable colour palette. When we left our Picasso poster in the room on checkout they sent it back to us in UK ( we just paid postage).

Cons: I reserved the 1 person room. Although small, the room appeared rather appealing and seemed to have everything I needed, that was at first impression. But then, the problems began. The sink was clogged, the “hot” water in the shower was barely lukewarm, and the toiletries were road-side cheap motel quality. There was only soap-shampoo combination that tangled my hair so badly that I had to lose much hair in order to untangle it, which took me more than an hour. Yet, that was not the worse. The shower enclosure is not properly water secured so my bath and room got flooded. I mean standing water on the carpet. I called the front desk person and he told me that he couldn’t do anything about these issues at the time and could not switched me to another room until the following day because the hotel was fully booked. All he did was to put towel on the floor and told me that I could have breakfast for free. In morning, the new person at the front desk switched me rooms, but kept telling me in an accusatory tone, that I “knew the room was small since that’s how it is described on their webpage”. I found the comments rather offensive, as implying that it was my whim to change rooms! I had no problem with the size of the room but rather with the hotel installations! Due to jet lag, the following morning I slept in so after switching room I asked if I could have my breakfast the morning after. My request was denied. That was another cheap decision from the hotel, I mean after showering with barely lukewarm water in winter, having spent a night in a flooded room, loosing much hair due to their awful quality toiletries, and having a clogged sink in my bath, I think the least they could have done for me is to treat me to breakfast, that is really inexpensive for the hotel. But no, they didn’t. Anyways, judging by the quality of their installations and toiletries, their breakfast is probably also very cheap.

Pros: Right on rue de Bretagne. Opposite Marche des Enfants rouge. Very convenient. Hotel staff upgraded me to a ground floor bigger room because he saw me struggling with 3 suitcases. Thanks!

Perfect spot to relax after...

Pros: Property was clean, staff were very friendly. Perfect for a pit stop if you are travelling around the city.

Cons: Nothing it was perfect for what we needed.
