Hotel de la Motte Piquet is an excellent choice for a vacation stay in Paris.

Pros: The hotel location made Paris attractions walkable. Further there was a Metro stop, Ecole Militaire, right around the corner, so everything in Paris was accessible. The adjacent street, Rue Cler, is a well known market street and a pleasure to wake up to every morning. Further, we could make a food and drink selection along Rue Cler and walk a short distance to the Champ-de-Mar, then haves a picnic with the Eiffel Tower as our view. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and can make useful suggestions. We were able to schedule a taxi for our trip from the hotel to CDG at a reasonable price. Hotel de la Motte Piquet is a very reasonable hotel for a trip to Paris.

Cons: We could have wished for a more spacious room as it was a bit tight, but being Paris, it is expected somewhat. My wife, being a cheese person, would want fresh cheese with the petit dejeuner. These are relatively smal issues and they did not affect our overall enjoyment of the stay at the hotel.

Lovely Paris Boutique Hotel. Highly recommend.

Pros: The staff could not have been better. Location was great. Easy walking to Eiffel Tower and other great areas. Right on Rue Cler, so plenty of cafes and little shops. Room was small, as expected, but well appointed, clean, cozy. Elevator was a plus. Breakfast was a great way to start. Plenty of choice and perfect way to begin our day.

Perfect Location with helpful staff

Pros: This was a perfect central location for visiting many places in Paris. It is extremely close to metro stops and at the base of Rue Cler. Many restaurant and shops in the area. The hotel recommended many wonderful dining options. We had a glitch on checkin. There was a portable air conditioner unit in the room making a loud noise. I checked with the desk to see if they had a replacement, and they moved us to another room. The second room was much cooler and preferable. The first room was tiny and didn't even have a closet. It was warm even with two air conditioners. The weather was extremely hot that week, so I am so glad we were moved.

Cons: I understand Paris is expensive, but I really expected more for what we paid. The $15 breakfast was not worth it. We only had it the first morning because we had a very early start for a planned excursion.

Great location, cute boutique accommodation

Pros: Location was great within easy walk to the Eiffel Tower & many restaurants just around the corner. We had a second floor room on the corner which is compact but was very nice. Reception staff were very friendly & helpful.

Cons: Although we could go down to the basement to make coffee & tea, we really missed not having a jug & cups in our room to make it more convenient. The entrance is just a single door which we missed at first.

Cons: I am writing to share my worst experience of staying at the Motte Picquet Hotel in Paris. The room was extremely small and cramped, and the air conditioning was not working properly in the scorching heat of 32 degrees Celsius. Despite speaking to the reception, they were unable to do anything about it and only offered us a small fan. I am surprised to see the high rating of this hotel on Booking.com as my experience was far from satisfactory. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with this price and hope that the management takes the necessary steps to improve their services. Sincerely, Hadi

Pros: The receptionist made one room available for us when we arived early which assisted a great deal. She was lovely and friendly. The hotel location is fantastic, near the metro and easy to reach attractions. The hotel had umbrellas available for guests to use when it rained. The hotel met our expectations.

Cons: The room where we stayed was very hot (upstairs) as the aircon did not work well. The bfast room is small so on our 1st day we had to wait for seats, on our 2nd day, there were no croissants/bread at breakfast, no bfast packs could be done for early leavers.

Pros: Nice and cozy place!! Location was excellent close to dining and all attractions. Friendly staff. We had issue with the air conditioning in one of the rooms and they moved us to another room.
