Pros: This is my second time staying here, and the nostalgic feeling has not changed! I like the sense of history and leisure here. You can slowly appreciate Saigon by walking!

Pros: Loved the location & history. Breakfast courtyard was beautiful. Food was good, not great.

Pros: Excellent location, fabulous grand old hotel, loved watching the busy world go by from the outdoor restaurant.

Cons: I booked garden view room with bath and balcony. On arrival we were upgraded to city view room with no balcony and no bath! Some upgrade. I wanted what Id booked but was told those rooms were full. They did move us to a room with bath however. While the restaurant was lovely, the service was very slow. We asked for the bill to sign and were still waiting 20 minutes later so we went to bed. They then phoned us while we were asleep to ask if they could come up to the room and get the bill signed!!!

Pros: We absolutely loved it here, It has a lot of charm for Saigon, If you read the Graham Green book 'The Quiet American' or watch the film it adds to it's slightly quirky nature, Bit faded but it is 150 years old, lifts take longer than walking but these are in no way a problem if you accept it's not a boring generic place and go with history and location, Bit of traffic noise but it's in a city of 12.5m people so unless your 20+ floors up that's going to happen, I will definitely come back if in HCMC
