Pros: Great friendly boutique hotel that we had used before. Quirky, but very comfortable and very friendly. Location is excellent. Wine hour from 5 to 6 was a nice bonus.

Cons: Not a problem for us, but there is no lift. If you have a room at the top, it is a bit of a trudge up four flights of stairs.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Unique family home feel. Tea, coffee and water always available and wine in the evening in the comfortable lounge. Good selections for breakfast.

Cons: No lift to get luggage upstairs. Had to carry suitcases up a flight of stone stairs. Left out please service room card outside door when going out for the day. Returned in afternoon and it had not been done. They did call us to check if we wanted it done but we were relaxing. Apparently, you need to let reception know if you would like your room serviced.

Pros: Beautiful building, large rooms with the charm of a real castle. Great breakfast, you could order eggs and coffee many ways. We had an amazing balcony, very comfortable to drink that second cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening.

Cons: There was not an elevator. So it was a little hard taking big suit cases up, but the staff was ready to help.

Very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful boutique hotel with an incredible staff.

Pros: The staff was exceptional and our room was very nice. The hotel was really cool; a converted home from 100 years ago and can't say enough good things about it, including the lounge upstairs where we had a happy hour each evening at 6. An incredible bonus for us was that they were celebrating the house's 100 year anniversary and threw a great party! The breakfast was great and plentiful. Additionally, there were many wonderful shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. And, did I mention, the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy,comfortable and made really good recommendations whenever we asked.

Cons: Absolutely nothing!

I will stay here again and recommend this hotel to all friends!!

Pros: Breakfast - made to order dishes, beverages like capuccino, juices, etc. Wine hour was held in beautiful decorated room, even with a patio. Outside garden was lovely.. Nice and intimate with only 19 rooms!! The attic room suite was wonderful, even if we had to climb another set of stairs.. Staff was very accommodating with all requests. We were even invited to the 100 year celebration of this hotel building

Excelllent hotel In the middle of Santiago

Pros: Great location, in between older section of Santiago and the modern area, and just a beautiful property. Close to many restaurants, the Zoo, and the Funicular. The staff is amazing, especially Erica (front desk) and the Chef during breakfast, and they all go out of their way to make sure that you are having a great experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Santiago.

Pros: Clean rooms, helpful staff, decent breakfast (food was ok but Diego the server was amazing and very charismatic)

Cons: Outside location is known for tourist assault, pick pocketing, and phone theft. I wish I knew how dangerous it could be outside before booking. Although it is unfortunately outside of the control of the hotel and, therefore, shouldnt be held accountable for it.

Great atmosphere, location, and service!

Pros: Great location for my trip , lovely room, excellent staff.enjoyed the breakfast and interaction with staff and other guests, and the afternoon wine. I appreciated that the bathroom had adequate lighting - I often have trouble with that! The comfortable upstairs room with tea and coffee and afternoon wine was a lovely place to hang out on the rainy days and the balcony was nice on the sunny days (I got all weather conditions that week!) The security procedures were different for me but appreciated in an area where that is a concern especially traveling on my own. Easy walk to touristy things and lots of restaurants and bars, etc. Patio Bella Vista was an easy walk - I spent a lot of time there since I had friends playing live music there that week. I really enjoyed my week at Castillo Rojo.

Cons: For my trip, there wasnt a thing I didnt like!
