Rude staff and dirty room

Cons: I came from London for holiday with my family. There was a woman at the reception. I asked for help to check in for the hotel. We wanted to do all the paperwork quickly and move to the our room. I asked that woman that we were very tired and that my mother was sick and that she needed to lie down in bed as soon as possible. That woman kept us waiting for a long time as if we were buying the hotel. She spoke as if she was making fun of us. She said we had to pay a deposit of around 200 euros. We were surprised as we hadn't heard of this before and didn't read about it when we booking. We asked a second time just to be sure and that woman started talking like she was making fun of us. That woman started talking aggressively and rude. She rudely explained that all tourists always ask the same question when they come to the hotel, that we, as tourists, do not read any papers and that she is very tired of constantly explaining this. I was very angry with her. We didn't want to prolong the issue, so we paid. After that She said we had to pay city tax and we paid it in cash she did not give us a receipt for it. We waited for her to do her paperwork. Even though we told her that we wanted to get into our room as soon as possible, she kept us waiting at the reception for 1 hour. She gave us the wifi password but it wasn't working. When we made the reservation, it said that there was wifi in the hotel, but wifi was not working. It is not nice to give false information to customers. This was ridiculous. Anyway after waiting for so long, we finally got to our room. The sheets were dirty from the previous customer. Since I didn't want to argue with that woman anymore, I had to change the sheets and put the towel on the bed and we slept like that. In the morning, we went to the reservation to check out and there was another woman. That woman was very friendly and helpful. she asked us to pay the city tax. We told her we paid yesterday.

Pros: Great location, metro stop right in front of the hotel, Eiffel Tower 20 minutes by walking

Cons: Our room was located right next to elevator. The elevator was literally one step of our room so we were hearing noise of calling the elevator every 10 minutes. Cleaning ladies were talking loudly to each other from like 6am every morning so we didnt have calm sleep any day of our 4 daystrip. The wifi didnt work at all. When we arrived receptionist told us it was gonna be fixed but nothing’s happened. Because of shaky term of our doors we could hear closing doors of all hotel’s guests.

Pros: The staff were charming and very helpful, norhing was too much trouble, hotel very calm and restful colour scheme.

Cons: Room was tiny and hot, so sleep was a bit fitful, but that said we were there to visit Paris, not the hotel, so all.was fine
