Pros: Breakfast was great! The staff was fantastic.

Cons: The site was a bit misleading... there isn't an indoor pool. The staff was very kind and accommodating, but we didn't have a working phone in our room, an ice bucket or sheets for the pull-out bed.

Pros: Free parking, breakfast included, comfy beds and pillows, nice spacious suite room. had a pool but it was too cold to enjoy that. Walking distance to downtown area. The room cleaning staff was amazing.

Cons: Room looked out to freeway and had a very bright security light shining right into the room all night. Elevator was a bit dirty.

Cons: First floor had soaking wet carpet, smelled like mold/mildew when walking from outer door to elevator, tiled floor to the elevator in lobby had sticky/filthy dried & wet footprints everywhere and the elevator floor was disgusting. I came from the pig barns at the stock show and the floors were probably cleaner than that area. Took ages to get water hot to shower and it didn’t stay hot long. This morning the elevator, floors in lobby, and the first floor hallway appeared to be unchanged except the smell was worse & they had more fans going this morning.

Cons: The place was not clean, like it should be. I got bit on my arms & ear by bed bugs. When I went down to the lobby to tell the host, she did absolutely nothing about it. 5 days later & I'm finally recovering from my bites.

Comfy and just a walking...

Pros: It is really close to downtown so you can just leave your car at the hotel parking instead of paying public parkings. A good 15mins walk to the Historic market, The Alamo and Riverwalk. The complimentary breakfast is good too. It is not that expensive so really worth the money.

Pros: Staff was nice

Cons: Multiple plugs were broken which made it hard to charge our devices. The hotel looks and feels like a motel 6 which is not what we’d expect from a holiday inn brand of hotel. The hotel doesn’t look as good as the photos. It looks aged and like it needs a face lift if paying holiday inn prices. Only one elevator makes the wait excessive when trying to get to my room.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and for the most part, helpful. The outside of the building looked nice and they had cameras and a well-lite parking lot, so I felt safe about my car being parked there. The King bed was very comfy and the room was large. The location was great to get around to all the touristy things downtown, like the River walk and the Alamo. We also went to Sea World and it was only a 20 minute drive to get there from the hotel. The breakfast was decent and offered omelettes, sausages, muffins, etc. Also, this is more just a side note (not good or bad), but be aware there is no door that separates the king bed area from the sofa in the King suite. I booked it thinking there was a door, which would have been preferrable, but we made it work.

Cons: The room was a little run and down and seemed to be missing some basic elements that would have made the stay more enjoyable. You could tell there had been water damage at some point to the room, because the plaster around the window was cracked and falling off. The lamps in the bedroom area were tiny and very dim, so made it hard to read in bed and the plugs in the nighstands were extremely loose, so my phone charger kept falling out. The sink is located outside of the bathroom and there was no towel bar for a hand towel. Also, the Dove soap dispenser was broken, so no way to wash my hands or dry them at the sink. I had to walk to the shower, get shower gel and then go walk out to the sink to wash my hands and then walk back into the bathroom to get a towel to dry them. The shampoo dispenser was also broken. That one was not locked into the wall, so I was able to unscrew it to get shampoo out but discovered there was no tube inside the bottle, which is probably the same reason the soap at the sink wouldn't work. There was also a electrical panel below the tv in the bedroom that had a really bright green light and a red light that lit the bedroom up and shined right into my eyes when I was trying to sleep, which caused some sleep issues the first night. I covered them with tape and paper the second night and the room was much darker. The other thing that was annoying is that we had a King suite with a sofa bed and when I checked in, I asked about the sofa bed, plus the lady saw there were two children with me, but she didn't offer to get sheets or pillows for the sofa bed when I first checked in. I had to go back down a few hours later to request the bedding, when it should have already been located in the closet like most hotels offer.
