Pros: Everything went well. The room with the view was fabulous & the room was spacious, comfortable & clean. All the staff were friendly & helpful. We'll DEFINITELY book with you again on our next trip to Queenstown! A big thank you to you all! :-)

Comfy Chalet in Queenstown

Pros: The room was comfortable and spacious. It was clean and it had a nice partial views of the mountain and lake.

Cons: We were given conflicting information on where to park our car after checkout. We had no choice but to drive around until we found on street parking. Where we were told to park was not available.

A very comfortable and enjoyable...

Pros: The room was a little tired but otherwise comfortable. It was a good size. The breakfast was also excellent. The hotel stored some of our luggage for us as we went to walk the Milford Track.

Cons: Checkin should have been possible at 2pm, however the room was not ready for some time after that. They did store our luggage for us but this was annoying.

Pros: Outstanding, proximity to restaurants, water front, activities. Great glimpses of seaside from our balcony.

Cons: Accommodation was less than ordinary for the price. While the buildings and room looked freshly painted, it would appear they painted over rotten wood and fixtures. The outdoor areas were messy with garbage bins and bags of linen laying around.Our room was dirty & dusty. The mattress needs to be replace. Overall the facility is tired.

Cons: The bathroom was third world with a mouldy shower curtain, a cracked handbasin and holes in the walls of the shower.

Cons: We stayed here one night after a few hours drive from Mt Cook. We are not fussy people. We have never before this time requested a change of rooms while travelling before but had to request rooms to be changed twice as showers were broken in the first room and the toilet did not flush properly in the second room. The hotel staff at one point tried to tell us there was nothing wrong even though the water took half an hour to fill for the toilet to be flushed again unreliably. The third room we moved to there was a smell of dampness in the bathroom but at this point we had given up. The kettle in the room was also dirty with brown smudge with some kind of small insects floating in it. I talked to a family friend from Queenstown after my trip and they seemed to remember the hotel building from around 1980s. I believe it to be true as it definitely looked like the place had made no upgrades to the tired facilities in the rooms since the 1980s. $250 is not a lot of money for a place by Queenstown standards but guests have the right to expect the basic things to be working properly and that was not the case here.
