Pros: The location of the hotel is great, right in the historical center of Mexico City. The stuff are friendly and speaks fluent English. They upgraded the room for us and provided the welcome champagne and dessert. The room is large and clean. The experience of taking the historical elevator to reach our room was a highlight in our trip!

Pros: This hotel was booked by Booking.com. My client who stayed one night paid for her reservation in reception. Booking .com charged me, therefore the booking was PAID twice. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com will reimburse me. I will not recommend either to my clients, indeed the customer service teams have deeply upset me.

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous historic hotel with truly grand main hall worthy of being featured in any blockbuster. Very well trained and attentive staff. Unbeatable location right on the Zocalo with shopping, more than few good restaurants and a lot of beautiful architectural masterpieces within walking distance. Large enough room. Comfortable bed.

Cons: Despite good quality double glazed windows the noise from outside (shouting, music, singing, drumming - depending on day of the week, time of the day and type of protest event taking place on the Zocalo) will be with you most of the time. Taxi cannot get to the hotel as it is located on the pedestrian part of the street - be prepared to walk with your suitcases a block or two.
