Good value

Pros: Spacious room, very clean and comfy. We enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna included as facilities.

Cons: Wifi was a bit weak... but it was not really an issue as we were having a break.

Our stay was ok but...

Pros: The actual room size was good, the bathroom was clean and had both a bath and shower. Breakfast was good and was set out with a great view of the golf course.

Cons: The room we were assigned was on the ground floor which is fine but we didn't have any form of natural light coming into the room. The room we were given had a window but it was frosted over and had a permanent security light on right outside. Not a massive issue for us as we were out most of the day but would have been nice to open the curtains in the morning following our stay and have some natural light or a view of something from the window. As there was no window for natural light I also would have expected better internal lights within the room, felt very dark throughout our stay both during the night and day. I'd like to have seen a couple of lamps or something to help with this dark/no natural light issue.

Pros: I like the resort usually and have stayed before the health club is nice and I usually like it

Cons: My room was wrong at first but eventually got sorted but it was a bit of a pain due to the back and forth at first but there was a wedding so it was incredibly loud with people running up and down corridors and being very loud all night even after midnight. It kind of ruined my time. I wish I'd known in advanced so I could've moved to another weekend

Pros: The location was very relaxing and calming

Cons: When we arrived at 5pm, the room had not been later out as we had requested. The previous occupants room service had not been moved from outside the room. Also the bathroom was flooded by a guest upstairs leaving water running

Mostly enjoyed the stay, but...

Pros: Room Was a good size, comfortable bed. Restaurant Good food options and tasted nice. Breakfast was good, good variety

Cons: Room Phone was not working in the room to call reception. Reported this, was told it is working. It wasn't Layout is good, but children's bed was right in front of tv, stopping us from watching it when they were asleep. Shower power was very low, no pressure at all. Also no amenities in the bathroom, had to go downstairs to reception to ask for a shower cap (phone was not working) - they didn't have any. Swimming/sauna/gym facilities are located in a separate building, it's the next building but you do have to come out to get to it. It does have changing rooms, not the cleanest I've seen and a few lockers were broken, but ok. Jacuzzi was good, button was broken. Steam room had broken cold tap, ice tap broken.

Cons: We don’t drive so we followed the map which led us down a muddy horse path for a mile with no path when you come off so we was getting beeped by cars driving past

Pros: The staff were all very friendly and helpful The grounds were beautiful Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice Good to have access to leisure centre We also had an afternoon tea which was really enjoyable particularly the pastries

Pros: Staff were so friendly and kind to my children, nothing was too much trouble- room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and spa facilities were a real added bonus

Needs some serious TLC! Expensive...

Pros: We went for spa treatment early in the day, the massage was really good, however the spa was a little disorganised on arrival, staff didn’t seem to know what to do and left us waiting, before giving us towels and robes 10 minutes before our treatment without telling us where to go, or where to comeback to for treatment, just left wondering.

Cons: The whole place from spa to room was really tired and needs some serious TLC. We paid for a Junior Suite (£260 for 1 night), which was extremely worn, most of the furniture and fixtures had serious wear and needed replacing (definitely end of life and needed to be replaced). The terrace furniture was covered in moss (seats and table) needed to swap them, for ‘less moss covered’ seats, but not much better. The shower tray didn’t drain off and filled with water, which was quickly followed by a foul smell. Breakfast was ok, but there was a wait on food which was running out quicker than it could be replaced, which just isn’t acceptable when they know the number of people coming to breakfast (within reason) and they know the busy periods as they’re highlighted in a sign as you come in, so no excuses in reality- fail to prepare and all that…. Really hoping the management/ senior Management read this and understand I’ve left this review as constructive feedback and hope it helps get things right for people in the future, or reposition yourself in the market, as sadly it’s no longer higher end hospitality and prices should be reviewed.
