    Pros: Food was good. Staff were pleasant. Decent bar and a pleasant setting.
    Cons: Our room was very hot as it was south facing and had little air. Charged my EV there and I didn't get many miles for my money. Thought it was a bit pricey overall for what it was.

    Pros: Lovely country side stay, room was comfortable and has everything you need. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. A lot of walks around the area with beautiful views.
    Cons: Only thing is that our window opens to the car park so not much of a view.

    Small room, lumpy mattress. We ate at the other inn in Exford 2 nights of our 3 night stay!!

    Pros: Breakfast was fine and the location was lovely!
    Cons: Staff were less than welcoming at reception and in the "pub". The "pub" is a very strange seating set-up and the food served there was POOR! When we commented to the wait staff (my wife's dinner was inedible.... a plate of lamb breast fat and gristle)......we were told the chef would be advised!!!! No apology or offer of another dish!

    A nice place to stay while exploring the lovely are of Exmoor & the nearby coast.

    Pros: Excellent food, especially in the restaurant.
    Cons: Some confusion about accuracy of billing.. Due to the age of the building it often seemed very dark, especially in the restaurant.

    Great location with great food and staff.

    Pros: The breakfasts were AMAZING! The staff are all so friendly and just lovely. The food in the bar/restaurant was really good. We had such a great experience that I'd recommend this hotel to everyone that wanted a good base for North Devon and Exmoor National Park.
    Cons: The beds were a bit hard for us, however you can't please everyone's personal mattress taste!

    Good food but unhealthy room run by a penurious owner

    Pros: Great staff, food and location for hiking.
    Cons: No water pressure in the shower, although pressure in the faucet worked well. Owner must have put a plug into the pipe to save water, resulting in a 15 minute hair wash. It was heavily raining and water is definitely NOT a rare source. Even walls were wet and lots of very unhealthy mold visible in our superior room.

    Nice country hotel

    Pros: Lovely quiet country Inn. Great breakfasts. Comfy beds. Historical building. As a horsey person, it was lovely seeing the horses go by in the morning.
    Cons: Needs some renovation. Not quite as photos suggest. Not cleaned under bed. Not sure what the pillows were as they felt more like cushions.

    Cons: breakfast was okay was told it was going to be cooked fresh but bacon, mushrooms and beans were clearly were not. had toast with breakfast but no butter came with it
