About Days Inn By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Founded in 1970, Days Inn is a hotel chain started by Cecil B. Day and opened its first location in Tybee Island, Georgia. The second hotel came in the same year at Forsyth, Georgia with hotel rooms starting $8 a night.

Days Inn’s earlier years were quite tough. The lack of maid service was the initial issues Day had to go through after creating the brand. As a temporary solution, he had to ask help from his children to make up the beds in the hotel rooms. Furniture needed in the hotel were hauled to the location by Day’s mother, on her wagon because the truck was too heavy to go through the bridge to reach the first Days Inn hotel in Tybee. With 60 rooms and a set of friends who had no confidence on Day’s investment, Days Inn Tybee Island got a 100% occupancy in April 1970 and became a success from then on. Franchises became available in 1972 and by 1978, there are already more than 300 Days Inn hotels in the United States, Mexico as well as Canada.

Now under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Days Inn has over 1900 properties operating in different parts of the world.

    Cons: As we arrived after a long flight from Germany, the woman on the front desk told us we wouldn't have a Reservation. But i had the confirmstion on my cellphone. I told her i would book again over booking.com because of the price but than she answerd she won't give us the room for this price. It doesn't matter if i book it or not.

    Pros: I booked on thisl site and paid the office still made me pay the Renton cash said the reservation never came through and that if I didn't pay cash I could leave charged me a late fee and dog fee then when I left only gave me 15 of my 40 dollar deposit very upset and still have not heard anything from this site about returning my money

    Pros: I travel for work and sleep in hotels 3 weeks out of 4. While the room was clean, and the bed comfortable, the unit was in need of maintenance. The refrigerator didnt work in the first room I was given, in the second room there was plumbing issues.
    Cons: The attitude of the front desk clerk was very surprising. He told me that I had to keep the room where the refrigerator wasnt working. I became quite upset! Secondly, the breakfast offered was extremely skimpy. Just cereal and milk. I left without.

    Pros: The location was the seller for me since I had a night planned at the club
    Cons: Wasn't informed of much. Just took my card and gave me a key card and I left.

    Cons: When I registered on line i was told I would be given a$25.00 voucher when I reached the front desk check in I was told.there was no such item. This voucher was. For any restaurant in Oklahoma city.
