Very disappointing, with nothing that was promised from the photos depicting the place.

Pros: The location and friendly staff.

Cons: There was no lift, so we had to climb to the second floor by spiral staircases which are narrow, and having to drag our cases up. The parking was in a public car park opposite the hotel, where pigeons obviously nest, therefore covering my car with their mess each morning. We requested a large double bed and were given two singles. This was rectified on the second night, by pushing the beds together and using a double sheet. The bath was dangerous, with a large dip near one end, and if you stepped back in it when using the inadequate shower, you were likely to fall. The Wifi was almost non existent and very slow. For the cost of the room, over 100 euros per night, it was poor value for money, with none of the things promised in the photos that they use on Booking.com. We left after 2 nights of a 4 day booking, and changed hotels. We were offered credit for the 2 nights not used, but we would not be returning there again, and would not recommend it.

Pros: The room was very large with the bathroom and bedroom divided by a third sitting room with a settee. It had very recently been refurbished to a high degree with a good sized walk-in shower. There was a large courtyard and garden at the rear of the property onto which our room opened. Plenty of tables and chairs were provided giving a pleasant quiet area.

Cons: The only real criticism was the weak Wi-if reception both in the bedroom and the main reception room of the hotel. The TV did not work for several days, but the staff were very diligent in sorting the problem and it was eventually fixed.

The breakfast room was too hot at 09.00 and the selection of food picked over and unappetizing rather than replenished @ 12.50/person the selection was poor

Cons: Breakfast was expensive and poor. The young waitress was sullen and unwelcoming. The cold milk which she very reluctantly brought was UHT and one year out of date and curdled in the coffee, The linked restaurant next door was poor - especially the service. After receiving thr dessert menu we waited more than 30 minutes to order - the staff were too busy serving customers drink in the bar. We gave up and returned to our room. On checking out there were no staff at reception and we again had to wait. The room was excellent but the staff need much better training. as their attitude spoilt the whole experience
