Pros: No hottub with the pool, which was okay as the pool was full of screaming kids. The lounge is located in the center of the hotel on the ground floor and the loud, boisterous and drunken people echoed up to our 7th floor room. The bed was ok but the bath had no handicapped fixtures.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel...

Pros: It’s conveniently located to downtown Topeka and the parking was free.

Cons: The Air Conditioning didn’t work, just blew like warm air so the whole hotel was hot and stuffy all week. It’s an older building that looks like it was once a top notch hotel but just not maintained over the years.

I won’t be back

Pros: The paint on the ceiling above the shower was coming down in a strip about 14 inches long. It looked like it had been repaired with a piece of tape that wasn’t holding. There were three of us checking in and I only had 2 towels. I was never told that by using my debit card that there would be a hold placed on my debit card for 327.10. There is a small sign but I didn’t read it or was I shown it when I gave my debit card. The hold was placed on my credit card for four days. That piece of information should have been told to me so I could have gone and withdrawn the money from an atm. I will never stay in this shoddy place again. The only thing that was a pleasant experience was the chef for breakfast. He was very kind and the breakfast was good. The beds were not very comfortable either. They were very small. Most hotels have gone to two queens instead of two full size beds. The view was also horrible. We looked out onto the air conditioners. The hotel was not very booked so there were other rooms available. We did not have a good experience.

Cons: The bed size, they are uncomfortable. There weren’t enough towels. There was no extra blankets in the room. The paint was coming off above the ceiling in the shower.

Pros: The location was good. We were there to attend the NHRA drag races. It was close to restaurants and shopping

Cons: The AC wasn’t very cold. They loaned us a fan. The toilet ran constantly. We couldn’t make it stop. The hair dryer didn’t work. The worst thing was, there was no housekeeping service. The sign in the bathroom said to leave the towels on the floor for replacement. No one ever came to replace them. Image our surprise when we got back in the evening to no clean towels. The front desk person said there was no housekeeping staff on duty. Wish we would’ve known that before we left the towels on the floor!
