Seriously not worth your money. This is a glorified motel that definitely does not feel safe or clean.

Pros: The location was the only appeal. About 30 minute walk to the esplanade.

Cons: Definitely more of a motel than a hotel. Felt so unsafe, there were people yelling, drinking outside and slamming doors all night. I woke up every hour from 8pm to 4am until I gave up on sleep. My room also had very bright lights outside each window and paper thin curtains, so the overwhelming light in the room absolutely did not help. At one point someone unlocked and attempted to come inside my room while I was sleeping- this made me realise how BAD the door locking system is. The only thing stopping them from entering my room was a single chain. Apparently it was a mix up with room keys, which shows very negligent key monitoring. Nothing felt clean, there were crumbs in the bed, ants everywhere, and hairs all over the bathroom floor. I cant believe how expensive this hotel was, I definitely expected a lot better. There was zero security at night and as a lone female traveler I did not want to confront the noisy people outside.

Cons: Air con did not work. Bed so old and lumpy it screeched each time I turned over. Bed made with only a sheet - no cover or blanket. May be cover in the cupboard but no bedside light so had to scramble around with a phone torch to find main switch. Shabby, cracked walls and stained floor. Looks like a room you could rent by the hour but certainly not at that price.

Pros: I was given an upgrade to a room overlooking the pool which had a private balcony and was quiet. I was offered this once the manager Wayne was told by the receptionist Veronica that I didn't sleep well in my last hotel due to traffic noise. The upgrade was much better than original room at no cost.

Cons: My previous room was a little small and near main entrance..near the main road. But never stayed there as was kindly upgraded
