Pros: I thought the location was excellent and the facilities are beautiful! Water taxi is convenient, but taxi ride back is a rip off at 50.00 for a relatively short ride. Beautiful views and the gardens are beautiful. Loved swimming in the sea which was a surprise. A real gem. Just some kinks to work out with staffing. I can't comment on the spa as we didn't use it.

Cons: I thought the food was terrible to be honest. The breakfast dishes were cold. The bartenders couldn't make the drinks that were listed on the menu. There were a few exceptional workers, but the majority were in my opinion very lazy and not willing to go out of their way to accommodate. I am hoping that with Marriott coming in October, the staffing issues will improve.

This hotel has the potential to be amazing.

Pros: We were impressed by the amount of restaurants, amenities and the location of the hotel. The staff including the chef at the Scausu Grill were exceptionally nice and made us feel very welcomed. The Food there was also delicious.

Cons: Our air conditioning in our room broke twice during our stay. Our Electricity went out once and was repaired by the electrician. In order to get hot water you have to run the shower for about 15 minutes before warm water emerges. During out last day 4 out of 5 restaurants were closed, there were also 5 tour buses in the hotel car park so the dining hall felt like a refugee camp. We ordered room service which came over an hour later. It was cold, and the order was incorrect. The staff also looked exhausted. There is definitely not enough staff as the people serving breakfast were also serving Dinner. so the level of attentiveness you may expect - is not there.

Wonderful resort in a beautiful place.

Pros: Perfect location, the resort has its private access to the sea with 2 natural sea pools. Beautiful views - Etna! Very clean, stunning grounds, comfortable bed. Breakfast selection was great, we found a lot of great options. Helpful stuff.

Cons: Service in the resort restaurants was very slow. Very limited menu in each place we ate. Food in restaurant/bar could have been better. There was no hair conditioner in the bathroom.

Pros: Gorgeous setting and location. Beautiful views, excelent potential if properly managed and hire more staff who know what they are doing and speak English. Nice, clean big pool which can never get crowded. Life music was great. Pizza was tasty. Bed was comfortable. Tito (or Toti) at the grill restaurant made us feel welcome. So did Ariana at the bar.

Cons: It looks undermaintained. Obvioulsy, they dont have enough staff to clean the common areas, toilets at the beach were dirty, no paper, broken things, dry leaves everywhere. Comparing to other hotels with similar setting and it just looked messy and not clean. I didnt see any cleaners during our 5 nights stay. Room was also not properly cleaned. Bathroom had hairs in the shower for 2 days and shower door was broken. Had to ask for shower gel and shampoo. Most of the Staff at the restaurants were really unaware of what they should be doing. Apart from the managers and a few others, noone spoke English. Rooms did not have big windows, I felt like I am in a cave. I supose it is because of the strong sun in the summer, which would be a problem in the hotter months.

Very disappointing - an opportunity for a great resort let down by detail and staff

Pros: Mangias Bruccoli resort has potential but my experience failed to live up to that. The first room I stayed in had lukewarm hot water which went cold on the second day, the electricity also failed in the room. Reception told me that it hadnt been very sunny lately, which is why there wasnt much hot water, a more ridiculous explanation its hard to imagine. After further complaints, I was moved to another room which was good and had hot water. The hot food breakfast in the self service restaurant was cold, the bacon, sausages and eggs kept on hotplates that simply failed to keep the food warm. No mueseli or granola available, only cornflakes. The one evening meel I had there was similarly poor with limited menu and tasteless food. I visited the other restaurant Sciasu, where the maitre d was universally charmless to guests, always appeared to be harassed. I witnessed other guests not getting what they ordered, whether it was parmesan for pasta or other extras. Service was slow and again I saw other guests leaving because no waiter had taken their order after a long time. The waiters varied between harassed and disinterested. The beach at Mangias is rocky so dont expect sand. The pool areas were a plus and service by the pool and in the Lime Bar was good. Reception staff were generally the best in the hotel and by and large tried to fix the many problems that guests had. The resort has a lot of potential but is let down by details the surliness of some staff, the poor approach road to the resort which needs attention and is far from welcoming and the food, which for Italian and Sicilian standards is poor.

Cons: Difficult access to sea-bathing, restaurants lack of profesional watiters, and the absence of proper kitchens for the dining venues scattered throughout the property, poor wine list, expensive but not impressive dinner buffet

Pros: Lovely village beautiful views very well decorated You dont feel the other guests you can enjoy the pool and the village

Cons: It seems they were under staffed because not all the restaurants were open or that in the main restaurant at dinner it seems the variety of food was poor and insufficient for the crowd

Pros: The resort is luxurious, huge, offers many activities. Basically you don't have to leave the resort if you don't want - access to sea, many pools, activities for kids, places to eat...

Cons: We had obstacles with the check-in, the room was not ready...Surprising was that you have to pay for the drinks during the dinner, not during the breakfast.
