Originally founded as a referral system among the hotel members under the brand, Best Western quickly rose and became the largest hotel chain in the market by 1963. Changes continued to further expand the Best Western brand internationally. Originally established as Best Western Hotels, the company dropped the word “motel” in 1974 from its brand name to compete head to head with other full-service hotel lodging chains in the world. Properties in Australia and New Zealand were acquired in 1976 with over 400 properties and thousands of rooms added to the Best Western family.

BY 2005, Best Western averaged $1 million in online hotel reservations, everyday via its website www.bestwestern.com. By 2006, as a complimentary gift to all the years and clients that supported the hotel brand, a special one-night charge of $5.40 was offered to some few lucky guests. Very Poor
Pros: Honestly leaving, this is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at.
Cons: Everything! The room was a shoebox that had a smell of mould. There is ongoing construction that kept us awake, and did I mention that while the hotel is advertised as wheelchair accessible it most definitely is not.

Pros: reception staff very friendly and welcoming. nice cosy room. sound proof couldn't heard any noise from other room or outdoors. nice large open wardrobe. and large shower cubicle. nice location short walking distance from shops and transportation
Cons: pillows too soft, and curtains and net curtains never covered the length of window. not happy about having to walk out of the main hotel building to get to my hotel room in another building. more select of teas eg herbal teas and hot chocolate.

Cons: Tiny room that smelled like sour milk, cramped parking with an entrance gate that didn't work, rough neighborhood, staff that hardly spoke English (in London!) and to top it off, the hotel was undergoing renovations. A horrible experience.
