The stay was nice

Pros: The staff is absolutely amazing! The front host ( Chanda?) greeted us with kindness and enthusiasm later in the evening. She went out of her way to help us park a giant truck and trailer. Breakfast was delicious and also met with familiar smiles! This spot is amazing for hospitality but a little noisy .. of corse- its the CA I- 5!!

Great hotel with gas stations near by as well as plenty of fast food choices and a full restaurant.

Pros: The room was huge with a comfortable chair and ottoman. It also had a desk and chair for working with my computer, The bathroom was large compared to other rooms I have been in the past.

Cons: When we arrived, we had issues with check-in. They said they did not show a reservation for me. I showed them my Booking.com email and he said it was from Booking.com, not them. Then I showed him the email from Best Western with the confirmation number noted. He did not want to honor it so he called their other hotel across the street and a nice young Lady came over. I showed her everything from Booking.com and from Best Western and she said she remembered the email and said not to worry, they would get 2 rooms ready. She told the guy in her language and he set up two identical rooms, but on separate floors. We were so tired from driving all night and half a day, we didn't care about the locations on different floors. After a few minutes, we were given the room keys and went to our rooms. The whole check-in process took about 15-20 minutes. That was not acceptable, but it was still a good experience.

Cons: The rooms needed a deep cleaning. The corners in the bath, especially. Also the top edges of the bathroom tiles needed to be scrubbed. Toilet bowls needed to be descaled.

Cons: AS I was checking in I had to use the bathroom. The bathroom in the lobby was "out of order" per the sign, then I was told I could use it after I said I had reservations. When we got to our room(my sister and myself), there was a used bar of soap in the shower and a used wash rag. Then we found some sticky stuff of the night table between the two beds. There was dirt in the corners of the room. I put a towel on the floor to keep from getting grit in the bed. No carpet in the room, and the carpet in the halls was worn and thread bare. The following morning we had breakfast, which was the worst I have had at a BW. We were going to use the jacuzzi, however, we were told that the hours changed on the weekend and could not use it until 0900(am). Mind you we had just asked at the desk for more towels in the pool area and informed her that we were going to go change. It was around 0730(am) and she didn't say a thing. Then when we came down to go into the pool area, we were stopped by her and another male employee and told the hours were different on the weekend. The posted sign stated 7am- 10pm. We explained that to them and then went back to our room. Then approximately 20 minutes later the clerk from last night calls and says we can use the pool area. He stated he had the authority to let us use it. WTF?! I explained how disappointed I was with the hotel and I would never stay at a BW again. The LAST and Final issue, was the kitchen my sister noticed that it was filthy. Later as we were leaving, and I kid you not, we saw and took a picture of a cockroach by our car. And this was NOT a cheap room.
